Volvo Penta changed the instructions back in 2010 saying that a gasket sealer is to be used. These outdated instructions state otherwise. Looks like I was sold a very old gasket kit, not a new one. Not cool!

Just as described, definitely get the permatex Cooper spray a gasket. No leaks in my exhaust system now.
