I have a child that plays the violin, and for a seven-year-old. That seems too difficult to put the violin back and take it out every day. So we got her this hook so the violin would have a home besides lying around the house. I’m so glad we did!

The mount works better if you leave your shoulder rest attached. Otherwise the bottom will lean at an angle and rest against the wall. Not a good idea if you have painted walls as it could potentially transfer paint onto your instrument. Would have been nice if they included plugs to cover the screw holes. Other than that it fulfilled its purpose.

Adorable and a must have for violinists. I've played my entire life, but forget to practice just because life is busy and keeping the violin in the case all the time creates that out-of-sight, out-of-mind effect. Setting the violin on the piano is not ideal since it's crowded and sometimes I worry with my dogs... bows look like a stick, smell like pine sap, and my puppy actually demolished one I've played for 24 years.Sturdiness: It has a slight give/rockiness to it once installed but is still sturdy.

I have many violin and it nice to have some of them on display. This has a nice cello body design to it with the integrated hook to hold your bow also. Be carful when mounting the neck holder hardware to only turn until nearly tight, as one more turn will certainly crack the delicate wooden spinner nut. Easy to mount with or without the wall anchors. I was able to mount mine directly on a wall stud so I did not use the provided wall anchors. Once installed, its sturdy and trustworthy to hold my violin and looks nice with its wood finish.

Ce support est beau avec sa forme de violon, robuste, et pratique avec son crochet pour l'archet. Le prix est pleinement justifié. Je l'aime assez pour en avoir commander un autre pour mon deuxième violon. C'est exactement ce dont j'avais besoin. Un gros MERCI au vendeur.

The wood was beautifully finished on all sides. Other reviewers mentioned problems with the finish. But mine was beautifully varnished, including on the sides. It’s a very attractive little hangar. I’m so happy to have a safe place to put my violin and bow, especially when during practice I just want to rest for a few minutes. I was always worried my violin would get accidentally damaged when it wasn’t safely in its case.And, let’s face it, a violin hanging on the wall just looks so darn cool :)

Having my violin on the wall staring me down has guilted me into many more hours of practice than if it stayed in its case. Plus this mount looks nicer than a regular guitar mount.

Very sturdy! An earthquake happened and although the violin swung, it never fell! The wood matches my violin but holds it very nicely away from the wall but not too out like my ukulele holder. This way I don’t have my violin tucked away in its case. This wall mount has made me pick up my violin more frequently. I keep rosin, cleaner, and my shoulder rest really close too.
