Ladies night just got more fun! I held a party and asked everyone to bring their favorite bottle of Sauv Blanc. People brought bottles in all different price ranges. It was amazing to see everyone's faves that were NOT the most expensive or even the bottle they brought.The bags fit most wine bottles but if the top has a descriptive color or marking, that might be a hard one to hide. You could use these for other games as well but we used for their intention.Great price for some added excitement!

My brother in law is a sommelier and visits often. When he does he loves to give us blind tasting wine experiences with new wines he’s recently tried vs ones we’ve tried before. He kept using brown paper bags but that felt wasteful. This has worked great. He has loved it so much that he has bought some for himself to have when he goes to other people’s house todo the same

I admit it, I don't use these as intended. I have been using them as mystery bags for games I have been putting together and they are AMAZING! They are just big enough to fit everything I need, the quality is well worth the price, and I love the way they close so you can keep everything you need inside. It would fit a wine bottle no issues, but if you want to use it for other things it works just as well. And they are not see through, so you don't have to worry about any surprises being spoiled.

These bags seem well made. The fabric feels like what is used for giveaway promotional totes. The product title describes it as "Hessian cloth" (had to look that up - it's burlap). Elsewhere in the description, it is described as bamboo and then as linen.Whatever the fabric, these will do the trick for your blind wine tasting, by obscuring the labels.My recipe for a fun blind wine tasting party:Each guest brings 2 identical bottles of wine within the parameters you choose (e.g., American reds under $20). One bottle goes into the bag, the host stashes the other.Guests sample the wines at their own pace, while enjoying the heavy hors d'oeuvres provided by the host. (Gotta soak up that alcohol.) Guests get a slip of paper for each bottle sampled, in which they add a few flavor notes, what they think the wine would be good with, and a numerical rating.The host tallies up the ratings given by the guests. The person who brought the bottle that got top rating wins as a prize the 2nd bottles that the guests brought and the host stashed. (Alternatively, you can let the gold medal winner pick x number of bottles, the silver medalists can pick y number of bottles, and the bronze medalists gets z number.)Just enough competition to be fun, but not so much that non-competitive guests felt uncomfortable. And you may come away with some favorite new wines!

The mystery bags are sure to be a hit at my holiday wine tasting gathering. I am afraid of spilling on them, I am not sure they would wash well, but they look very cute now. I am certain these mystery bags can also be used for bottle size gifts of other sorts as well. Now to find some for beer cans for a blind testing.

This fits a standard size bottle of wine perfectly! There is some extra room and would probably fit a bottle of liquor as well. The top can be cinched closed. It is made of a thin burlap type material and is not see-through so it hides the wine label perfectly! Great for a wine tasting!

These blind wine tasting bags are a great idea, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired. They definitely block out any hint of what the wine is once it's open. Since the numbers are only on the front, you could even mix up the bags and have them facing away when you put the wines in so that even the person filling them gets to guess.My main complaint is that they are too long to fit most wine bottles while pouring. If you want the bottle to be fully at the bottom of the bag (so there's not a bunch of fabric sitting under the bottle), then the drawstring tightens nearly at the top of the bottle. In order to pour effectively, you'll need to pull the bag down further, thus risking exposing what the wine is. Still, it's a fairly minor complaint and they otherwise work pretty well.

Who doesn't like wine? This is a great set of bags to obscure the wines within for a wine tasting evening.Now, you may not need 10 (unless it is a really impressive tasting session) as you could reuse them for different rounds of wine tasting, but having 10... well its enough.The pages have ties that you draw at the neck of the wine bottle. You may need to take off any cap as many have lettering or logos.These fit standard size bottles and not double or larger sizes. I didn't try this on a champagne but I suspect they would fit inside the bag too.
