If you’re tired of feeling like you’re wielding a battle axe every time you chop a tomato, this knife set is for you! These knives are light as a feather, yet sharp enough to make you feel like you’re channeling your inner Gordon Ramsay (without the yelling). Here’s the deal: these knives don’t have the heft of some of those high-end “you-can-cut-through-a-cow-with-these” sets, but honestly, I prefer that. They’re easy to maneuver, and for someone who does a lot of chopping, slicing, or dicing in the kitchen, your hands will thank you. They’re pretty close to a perfectly balanced weight—lightweight, but not flimsy. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to feel like their knife is going to slip out of their hand mid-chop, this set has got you covered. Also, if you’re a senior or have some arthritis (or just want to pretend you're a ninja), these knives have your back. The blades are sharp. I can’t speak to how long these will last—ask me in 2 years—but for everyday use, they have been solid so far.No need to stress about caring for them like they're priceless antiques either. These knives are a great pick for those of us who don’t want to hand-wash everything (looking at you, fancy knife sets that cost a fortune). Toss them in the dishwasher, and just keep chopping away!So in short: sharp, light, comfortable, and no-fuss. What more do you need from your knives? Get yourself a set, and happy chopping!

Very, very sharp blades. Lightweight. I do wish the haft was a bit more hefty. Still, cannot go wrong with Victorinox.

I could not cut through a butternut squash with my good knife. Neighbor loaned me this chef's knife. It cut through that squash like butter. I immediately went out and bought this set. I am so impressed and frightened at the same time. I may have to purchase those gloves that you can't cut through:)These knives have actually made slicing and dicing meat and vegetables more fun. I could not be happier.I do like how easy they clean. They are lightweight.I have a smaller hands which makes the handle comfortable for me.

Really simple, go to a butcher shop. A real butcher-shop...dead cow in the back, steaks and burgers out the front butcher shop. Chances are pretty good you will see Forschner (a division of Victorinox until 2009) or Victorinox knives being used. I've used these for years on the advise of the pros, I got this set as a lifetime quality gift for a Son who enjoys cooking. I've found them easy to maintain, keep their edge, and they can be sharpened. (Ask those butchers about "eversharp" knives, or knives sold door-to-door with a sharpening service included). Hard to beat balance of price and quality, these are blue-collar, working knives that look great too.

Great set of knives! We moved to Kauai last year and I was limited in what I could fit into my luggage (we came with 2 large suitcases and 2 large duffel bags). Anyway, I had a set of these that sadly had to find a new home with my sister. I thought I could make do with the 1 ceramic knife I was able to bring along but over time, I found I really missed my Victorinox knives. So I bought them again. Sharp, strong, excellent for chopping veggies, slicing through meat, cutting bread, carving the turkey. The paring knife is just awesome. Super sharp, small, easy to handle and cuts cleanly. Makes cutting smaller things like herbs, small mushrooms, and green onions a cinch.Affordably priced. Great quality.
