I purchased this smaller floor sander with plans to use it when undertaking the refinishing of our deck. I found with the 80 Grit discs and going slow but steady over the deck surface i was able to bring the surface back into pretty good condition making the re-staining of our deck look very nice when finished.

Once I got the hang of the speed to set it at (3 worked best for me), the pressure to use (lean into it a bit to push the sanding head into the wall), and to keep it moving steadily to avoid burn-in oversanded spots, this worked very well!I am a lady in my 50s and we had 3 bedrooms and a livingroom to strap, drywall and finish. I HATE having to sand, and even sanding with a screen-type hand sander on our shop vac, it takes so friggin long and you are sore for days because it's tedious and takes hours. However, with how large the sanding surface of this machine is, it gives a nice flat area finish using the 120 on first coat, 220 (? discs aren't in front of me) on second, then a fine sanding sponge for final finish. I can sand a 10x12' room in 20 minutes, or an hour if I want to go for a few minutes and rest between - because not gonna lie it is not the lightest little feather - but certainly light enough, quick enough and accurate enough for me! It is a MUST to use a shop-vac with a fine dust filter bag, and with thatvit sucks up almost all the dust - the only dust not sucked up is what sits in the holes in the sanding disc when I set the machine down between sessions. Keeps me ftom having to wipe down the house.

This was actually a good product, as far as sanding goes. I was repairing a ceiling, and removed all old "popcorn" texturing. This sander made my life much easier to sand the whole ceiling. The lighting was fantastic for helping to see imperfections. The vacuuming was terrible, but I didn't have much expectations to start with. The sanding was important. it is on the heavier side for ceilings, as you do have to apply pressure because of the brushes. It did contain the dust to a large degree, in the sanding housing, so it did reduce dust spreading. I would still hook a vacuum up to it though to get dustless. Well worth the investment.

It was easy to assemble. I am short and this helped out getting to those high to reach places. It's not too heavy but it is big. Emptying the bag was clean. It does contain most of the dust but there's still dust. It came with everything shown in the pictures and made my project so much quicker. Highly recommend.

I hate "sanding" drywall! ..and I have done a LOT of sanding drywall, by hand or with a pole sander. This is a LOT easier! It is heavier than a pole sander, but it is a lot faster, so you are not holding it "up" or in one place for very long! I did a whole room in about a quarter of the time! I love the LED light around the head, it shows what needs to be sanded. The "self" suction is okay, but I recommend adding a good shop vac with a good filter and Vacuum bag in it. It works way better! A lot less mess! I spend extra time in the corners when I'm mudding, this does not get "tight" into a corner unless you remove a guard, I didn't have to sand that tight, it got close enough, and did a fine job. The "extendable" handle came in handy as well. The "foldable" handle, I liked the idea, but I don't think I will ever use that aspect. It gets used a lot! Out of the truck, ready to go and back in the truck! It comes with a few "variety" grade discs. So you can figure out "what" you like. Stay away from "coarse" it removes too much, too fast! It doesn't go through discs very fast, about one for a 2000 sq. ft. home! If your doing more than one house, or using commercially, I would recommend ordering "more" when you order this. They are a standard size, but I have been having difficulty getting them at the local box stores, "supply chain issues". I hope this has been helpful

It makes sanding fast with great results. The loudness/rattle would make me concerned of the longevity of the sander. Bought the machine for a small room addition due to help not showing up/save labor and it more than helped me save money.
