These struts came fully extended and could not Compress at all no matter what I did. I would not recommend.

I used this strut as a gas-assist for my (very) heavy tilting zero-turn mower suspension seat. I used a luggage scale to weigh the effort needed to tilt the seat (88 lbs.). The strut works great and has really made lifting the seat after a long day of mowing much easier. However the supplied brackets are fairly soft steel and bent easily. I replaced them with a set I had saved from another project and all is well.If you plan on actually lifting 67 pounds with this strut, plan on using a sturdier mounting tab (available on Amazon).

Hi,These hydraulic lift rods are high quality. I looked at the web info, thought I'd ordered the correct psi strength but they were much stronger than what I needed. The instructions that came with the product was much more detailed than the amazon page instructions. You really need to check with the company and I'm sure they will be able to get you what you need for your application. I reordered the correct strength items and can't wait to install them. Fast delivery too... thnx

I regret purchasing the Vepagoo Gas Shock Struts. I used them for my outdoor bin enclosure, and all three pairs have failed—twice now. I initially installed them in the summer, and by winter, they had already started to fail. Now that winter has just started, all of them have completely stopped working again.Cons:Frequent Failures: I’ve had to replace these struts twice in less than a year, which is incredibly frustrating. They just don’t last. Not Weather-Resistant: The struts couldn’t handle the seasonal changes. After a few months, they started to lose their pressure and functionality.Inconsistent Quality: It’s disappointing that all three pairs have failed, indicating poor overall quality and durability.Overall, these struts just don’t perform as advertised. If you need reliable gas struts for an outdoor project, I would strongly suggest looking for a more durable brand. This product simply can’t withstand the elements and doesn’t hold up long-term.

Bought these for the lid of a custom garbage/recycling/compost bin shed. The lid is made of wood with PVC top and is fairly large (approx 4' x 8') so these longer (28" 55lbs) struts were in order. I originally bought 20" 100lbs and had to return them (too short and too strong).Do some research to see what length and lbs makes sense for your specific project. The instructions are a little confusing. In my opinion they're not sufficiently helpful for someone who's never done this before. There's a general formula to follow, but you need to experiment a bit to get the sweet spot of it staying open and staying closed (without needing a latch). Who doesn't like some fun math during a project, right? :)The hinge holes are fairly wide so make sure you buy larger gauge screws. I ended up needing to use washers for half of mine, but they worked out well.If you live in a cold climate, I can report that it's the start of winter here (approx -10 Celcius) and the struts are working well so far. * Only mentioning this because, I replaced the struts on the trunk of my SUV and they don't hold up in cold temperatures (different make/model and application of course). I may swap those out too.Good product so far (only had 1 week). I would recommend.

These lift struts seem well made and the instructions are pretty good. I had to do a bit of MacGuyvering to get my struts to work simply because I didn't take the time to weigh the lid to my storage box before I ordered. I just kind of guessed. My lid seemed pretty darn heavy so I thought I needed some stiff struts. Well....2 times 100 pounds of lifting force turned out to be way more than I needed. You can make minor adjustments to the lifting force by moving your mounting points. In my case I had to add springs pulling down to compensate for the lift struts pushing UP a bit too hard. Measure! Weigh the load then order!
