Easy to Install
- The brush faceplate is easy to install - all you need is a standard screwdriver. Simply affix the brush insert to the outer casing and screw in the screws.
- The measurement for the brush wall plate insert holes is 3.25".
- The measurement for the decorator plate cover screw holes is 3.79".
- Please confirm the size before ordering.
- VCE brush wall plate fits old work box or Carlon bracket.
- The Single Gang Low Voltage Mounting Brackets are sold separately.
Installation Instructions
STEP 1
Cut a hole in the drywall.
STEP 2
Install the bracket. (The bracket is sold separately)
STEP 3
Route cables and tighten the screws.
STEP 4
Place covers and tighten the screws.

Great for hiding cables. However, the inner part has to be screwed into an existing metal electrical box. Just make sure there is one in where you plan to put this.

I used two plates and one insert with the brushes to create a pass through on the kickplate of my screened room. The opening is large enough for a grounded electrical plug to pass through. A wall plate makes the perfect template for drilling the holes and rectangular cutout. I used a nut and bolt on top and bottom to hold it all together. I did have to slightly drill out the existing holes.

The brush material is decent. The frame fits all boxes if they are set deep. Otherwise for old work boxes you might have to trip some plastic. Larger plates fit the brush frame.

Depending on the material (and size) of your switch box, it will (or won't) fit. I agree with Mark Graves that "This is a well built product, but I had a problem getting it to fit inside a single gang old work box." It didn't fit into a PVC single gang old work box without me cutting away some of the PVC material. However, the product is very well built and gives a very "clean" look to the finished project. In order to fit, the inside of the single gang old work box needs to be 77 millimeters (see attached picture).

I was looking for a lock my 85 yr old mom can easily use, so I bought this one. It is easy to install if the existing door cutouts were done correctly. I had to modify the cutouts because they were not done correctly by the original door lock installers. The programming was easy and works flawlessly. The lock has a solid feel and would recommend this to anyone. :)

These were great and came with both the brush panel and the cover plate. At Lowes they sell those parts separately and the cost is about DOUBLE/$8each (or more, depending on the cover plate you choose). I needed six of them for my lo-voltage passthroughs and was very glad to find this decent price. They were incredibly easy to install.The brush portion and cover portion are separate, so you can switch out the cover if you need an XL one or a different style.
