I pumped my inflatable boat floor up super-tight, far higher pressure than most raft tubes are designed for. It sealed tightly in the valve, but it registered no pressure at all. The only way I could get the needle to move was to apply higher pressure than the gauge is even supposed to register. I returned it and bought one of those expensive solar-powered electronic gauges, which works great in the same situation. Don't risk your boat's seams with this item.

It looked fine but didn’t work at all. Seal was good, pressure was feed into it, but just nothing.

This is my second gauge of this type. I'm not sure if this one is accurate. It delivers a different pressure than what is reported on my digital inflator. However, it can be use as a bench marker /indicator (once the proper pressure is achieved). P.S. IT WELL READ AN ACCURATE PRESSURE WHEN ATTACHED TO A MANUAL PLUNGER STYLE INFLATOR!
