I'm upgrading from a 5C (great beginning mouthpiece) to this Vandoren A45. I love the feeling, and huge sound. Making a few adjustments to my emboucher, and make this my new mouthpiece for year's to come. The Ligature is also Vandoren (also from Amazon😉)

ayant racheté un yamaha yas280 j ai changé le bec 4c d origine pour celui laj ai hésité avec le java A35 et j aurai sûrement du prendre ce dernier car j ai du redescendre de 2,5 à une anche de 2 (en vandoren tradition)sinon le bec à un son nettement meilleur plus jazzy plus chaleureux

I bought this as gift to go with a new saxophone for our daughter. She is in High School and has been playing for four years. After she used the new mouthpiece for about a month, I asked her if she could tell a noticeable difference? She replied, "it's not much different than the cheap one on my other saxophone". When I spent a hundred twenty five dollars on the new mouth piece, I was expecting to get at least an awesome or something of the like. Nope, same as the cheap one!

Throughout my 30 year career I used many nozzles for my alto saxophone. But one of the best tips is the Vandoren Java. Responds to all records, has exclente edge, great sound and projection. Finally, nozzle height. I recommend it as the Jumbo Java.

I have been using an old Meyer 5 for a few months now, and thought I should try a new mouthpiece to go for a better sound. What a great decision. The notes that I hit with this mouthpiece sound so much better. The wider mouthpiece makes it easier for an intermediate player to hit notes with supreme clarity, and gives a sound more suitable for Jazz. Sounds phenomenal with the JAVA 2,5 reeds that I'm using.
