The long stud stripped out pretty quickly. Luckily it is replaceable. No other issues I've replaced lots of springs since then.

Rebuilt my engine (LQ4) over the winter and this was very handy. A lot better than the bulky “c-clamp” style that goes all around the head and you can only do one at a time. Bolt down where rocker assembly goes and you and compress springs for both valves.

Tools works perfectly, just removed all 16 valves for new stem seals. Metric bolts were class 12.9. The zinc plated nut seemed cheaper, but I had zero problems with it. Hopefully class 8.8.The machining of the aluminum spacer is bizarre to me; I’m not sure of the thought behind it. Anyway, spacer goes against the head, with the T-shaped steel bracket laying on top. Used a cordless ratchet to quickly work the valve compressing nut.Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

Definitely didn’t understand the assembly at first because mine didn’t come with instructions but after I figured it out, easy peasy! Worked even with a small impact

No assembly instructions. Finally got it right after finding a YouTube video. Nut stripped out, replaced the nut and then the bolts bent and destroyed the threads on the heads. DO NOT BUY.

This tool is not worth the money to be honest. There are no instructions to follow. Also the threaded hole on mine was elongated right out the bag. I had to drill to get it round and then send a tap through it just so the long black Allen bolt would fit. Also I find find center plate that fits between the 2 valve springs are too wide. This causes the tool to sit unevenly. If you're not careful you will damage the threads in the head. It does work but you have to make it work. Not well made right out of the bag.
