This was a convenient replacement for a incandescent indicator light on a thermostatically controlled circuit. It directly replaced the previous low-voltage indicator.

This light is far more expensive than the lights you can buy in bulk form. However, the quality of the construction, of the housing, and of the light itself is superior. I needed an indicator light for one of my motorcycles, and after installing one of the bulk style lights I was concerned about quality. I switched the installation over to this light and was far more comfortable. The brightness is not extreme, but observable in daylight.

I like this because of the wide voltages supported. It is bright and easy to see. It is outside and in the weather with no problems. On 19VAC, it gets very warm to the touch.

I don’t write many reviews, but felt this light warranted a good review. I am very impressed with the light as it’s not just an LED in a housing, it has a very nice lens that creates more of a glow than a spotlight. The LED works wonderful with inline dimmers. I’ll be buying more of these for sure!

No mounting nut! Really?! See my photos. Amazon's photo shows a mounting nut. Without that I can't use this for my project. Otherwise it seems like a nice device. I chose this one for the flat diffuser which gives the LED a nice warm appearance versus others with the rounded LED head showing. I'll be using two of these for my sump pump - one to indicate power and another to indicate operation for my sump pump. Other components include a 16VAC transformer and a current switch. If it weren't for the lack of the mounting nut I'd like to give this 5 stars.Update: I ordered another and it has no nut either. My project is now held up having to run around to find a nut to mount this with.
