Deep Groove Ball Bearings
- Ball bearing, in which the rolling elements are spherical balls.
- The purpose of a ball bearing is to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. (Reducing the friction of certain moving parts by replacing sliding friction with rolling friction)

unfortunately the bearings don't fit on to the 1/8 " rod until I used sandpaper on the rods to get the oxidation off the rods. Now it fits.

these were perfect for what I needed. Although not being sealed means they leak oil when sitting flat, they also turn more freely.

Nice bearings at a great price. I used these for the pivot on a baby's cradle. I don't know how they would hold up under high-speed or constant spinning. For woodworking purposes, these are excellent and the measurements are accurate to fit in a 3/4 inch hole.
