Kit contains legs, door, flue collar with damper and all mounting hardware. The steel drum barrel is not included. The BSK2000 is perfect for camp sites along with hunting and fishing situations. This kit is not EPA certified and is not designed for residential use.

I use this to heat a greenhouse in zone 8 during the cold times in jan and feb. it has worked flawlessly since i installed it. everything went together properly and sealed up real well. if i load this thing and shut it down, itll last 12-16 hrs.

I am Pleased with this kit. It’s easy to assemble. I used spray paint to mark where to cut. I used a reciprocating saw to cut the barrel. The smoke stack adaptor could be a little taller but it works fine. I guess my only complaint would be the vent doesn’t let in enough air. If you have plugs on the top of your barrel, position one of them at the very bottom (directly under the door and draft vent) to let more air in.

There is no seal, but the door closes tight enough, you don't need one. It works quite well if you ask me, and I am glad I got one. I use it in my shop for heat, but I added a top plate to the 55 gallon drum, so I could cook on it too. It is worth the money, and is a good purchase.

Castings are well formed, everything worked, we built a maple evaporator out of a 45 gal barrel and have the sap to prove it.

cast iron kits are the best for making up a heater but my last order was made from tin and is basically garbage to use for a barrel heater. had to order one that is 55 dollars more to get cast iron i sent baCK THE ONE MADE FROM TIN AND HAD TO REORDER XAST IRON ONE WHICH HAS GONE UP TO 200.00 SO BASICALLY 59.00 UP IN PRICE PER KIT
