Adding pins will become your new obsession
Standard poster frames make it easy to place pins in your map. Leave the front plastic off and place pins into the cardboard backing or use foam board for a smoother surface. For a more professional look, use spray adhesive to keep map flat. Avoid mounting with glues, rubber cement, etc.; unlike spray adhesive these may saturate and warp the paper.
Other ideas
- Color in the icons! Paint pens or red permanent markers tend to look the best.
- Use small stickers, such as gold stars.
- Use a set of tiny magnets.
