How to install

First, After disassembling old "tires", clean up the gummy debris left on the wheels.

Mounting:

Used a clamp to hold the tire on the wheel in one spot, and then used a screwdriver to pry the rest of the tire on. This made installation relatively easy

Uniform stretch:

After mounting, removed the clamp and pushed the shaft of the screwdriver completely under the tire, so it was between the tire and rim. Then ran the screwdriver around the wheel several times to make sure the tire was uniformly stretched around the wheel.

Seating the tire:

Next, made sure the tires were properly seated in the groove on the wheels, rolled the wheel on a concrete floor, pushing down pretty hard with your hands, so the concrete would forced the tire into the groove.

After mounting, reinstalled the wheels and readjusted everything, finish!

✅Urethane band saw tires no adhesive needed, but need to be stretched on. If your new band saw tire is too tight to fit onto the wheel, submerged the new tire under hot water for a few minutes, this will make things easier.

Bought these to replace original worn and cracking rubber tires on my bandsaw. They seem ok, except for the seam. It appears this is not constructed as a solidly molded single circle. They must use a strip of urethane and somehow seam 2 ends together. They then sand off the seam. It is both very visible, and very feelable as to where that seam is. Both tires I received were significantly thinner at the seam, and flattened. Which in my best guess, causes some unevenness in bandsaw blade operation. I doubt I will keep these on long, as there is noticeable movement and shaking on my saw and blade. I have to think there is better available.

I couldn't find anyone selling 14" Ridgid bandsaw, which is no longer available, tires. I took a chance and this one fits my saw and is working well. I have only made a few cuts so I can't speak to longevity but it fits and is working great.

as headline - replaced 2 jet tyres with these they are pretty tight (good sign). The originals had quite a bit of scuffing where small bits of sawdust had gotten under the blade and rubbed. So to improve performance, I decided to try these. Arrived very quickly from US and decently packaged. The old tyres where of a slightly shiny hard rubber and these were even more shiny but fear not!, after I used the clothes peg method of putting the new tyres on, I realigned the wheel and they were perfect. Great product!
