Does the job but the valve leaks when closed and not in use. I have to make sure the gas is turned off at the tank every time I close the valve.

I Bought this welding handle because it is identical to the 31 year old one that is just now starting to leak.I got 31 years of extensive use out of it as an HVAC Technician.This new one will probably out last me.Uniweld builds good stuff.

This torch handle is very light but I has excellent Brazing/Welding capabilities with the correct tip. 100% recommended.

I am giving this torch handle and its manufacture 5 stars. I also want to send a warning along to others who may buy this torch. I made the mistake of buying after market tips from another website. They were supposed to be compatible with this handle.After about 20 seconds of welding on 18 gage metal, the torch burst into flames. The fire came from under the union tip nut. It was my fault for trusting another manufactures tips. I would recommend that you stay with tips made by Uniweld for your Uniweld 71 torch handle. Always support those companies who make the products you like.You will find most all of the tips that you will require for your Uniweld torch handle right here on Amazon.co.
