I tried to use this gun cleaning kit to clean my Heritage 22 pistol, but the cleaning rod is too big for the bore of my gun despite the claim that this kit is designed to clean 22LR guns. I am disappointed. It looks like a good kit if you gun bore is larger than my 22.

This kit is better than the one I purchased years ago and cost less. The case is tiny and perfect to throw in your carry bag to clean your chamber when things start to get dirty and tight. Forward assist can only do so much. The star swabs fit perfectly except they leave bits of stringy stuff if used dry like they're supposed to.

I got this because I need an extra long cleaning rod for my Henry 22lr with it 24 inch octagon barrel length. At32 total inches when fully assembled the bore rod is plenty long enough and so is the bore snake for cleaning after shooting up a few hundred rounds of cheap ammo. The lever action can shoot any mfg ammo with mostly equivalent results but some of the inexpensive stuff is dirty and the rifle needs a good cleaning. I’m uncomfortable using anything other than the bore snake and mostly I just use a quality gun cleaner solvent and the appropriate sized wad. Generally that’s enough to get it clean since the lever action keeps the round up snug in the bore which doesn’t let the gunpowder gasses and detritus blow back into the shooting chamber until you cock the lever. Waiting a couple of seconds or more between shots saves ammo and keeps the cycling side of the rifle clean.Only complaint was one of the 22 bore wads was slightly bent coming straight from the box but that was easily corrected with a pair of pliers. However if it had not been caught it could have caused some scoring damage inside the rifle bore. Yikes! So a word of warning to confirm the wads and bore brushes are straight before using them. For most shooters this is SOP. Nice kit, compact enough to keep in the range bag or car.

Contains 2 of everything you need to clean your gun. 2 x large wire brush, small wire brush, swab tips, packs of cloths, Etc. Everything fits in the case great. Bring your own oil, but there is a small bottle for it in the kit. There were a few additional brushes and tools that I didn't even know what they're for! No complaints, would recommend!

This is a pretty comprehensive kit for all your 5.56/.223 caliber riffles. Quality of the brushes seems on par with other cleaning kits I have. The rotating handle is a nice touch as well as the inclusion of the start chamber pads. The inclusion of a boresnake is a nice add for giving a quick pull after a range session. I much prefer the inclusion of an empty bottle that I can use my own flavor of CLP or lube with vs some unknown mystery brand that I would be inclined to trash. All of these components fit well in the included case. Overall this is a great kit to have to clean you high speed sleeping pill dispensers.
