Kicking myself for not inventing this in the first place. It's so simple and works great. It works best with flashlights that have a constant cross section (like a straight tube, instead of ones that get bigger near the bulb). If you can get its center of gravity right underneath the bracket, it will not vibrate. I recommend under-slinging the flashlight as opposed to having it on top of the handlebar - this makes it 'want' to stay in place better. My only complaint is that you can no longer see where you're going when you're doing a wheelie. But it stays in place after you set the wheelie down, so that speaks to how secure this bracket is.

The carded item I received says it's designed to fit "AA style flashlights" which evidently means 18mm (3/4") diameter pocket flashlights holding one AA cell (or two AA cells end-to-end) because the rubber cradle diameter is only 18mm. For example, it perfectly accommodates the width, length and weight of the LED MiniMagliteAA (6.5" length) pocket flashlight. I tried the much smaller LED MiniMagliteAAA, but it secures too loosely with very much excess Velcro strap overhang. Do not cut away any Velcro strap as its designed length is valuable as I will explain in a moment. The rubber cradles are 18mm and 28mm. The rubber cradles are soft and pliable. A wider diameter than 18mm flashlight may work as long as it's still a pocket-size (wider but very short in length) compact flashlight (because wider/heavier without length reduction will cause it to wiggle and jostle while riding). The 28mm cradle fits handle bars very well and even the much wider diameter vertical handle bar receiver/fork column due to its rubber flexibility. Also, try switching the cradles. For example, I fastened a light-weight plastic USB LI Ion rechargeable 35mm diameter 7" length flashlight to the handlebar with the 18mm cradle (instead of the intended 28mm cradle) and fastened the flashlight to the 28mm cradle with very good results. Instructions advise keeping the rubber cradles clean (to maximize friction). If you minimize flashlight wt./length and invert the cradles to accommodate respective cylinder diameters, you'll be very satisfied with the performance and versatility of this product.

Not long ago I was struck with the idea to attach a flashlight to my bike handlebars, as opposed to paying four times as much for an actual "bicycle headlamp." I went right to Amazon, did some research, and since they're so cheap I ended up buying three different kinds--the Lockblocks and two cheap Chinese made models. All three were pretty darn good, I have to say, but I like the Lockblocks the best. Here's why:1. My Costco flashlight fits snugly and securely--I'm not worried about it falling off or even moving around. The good thing about this design is that the flashlight sits directly above whatever you're attaching it to (provided that the thing you're attaching it to is horizontal, like handlebars), so you can attach it right at its balance point. Because of this, I can hit bumps and my flashlight never gets out of alignment because its weight is evenly distributed. One of the other flashlight holders I bought (the kind with the plastic sleeve) is designed so that the head of the flashlight juts out in front of my handlebars and the rear of the flashlight is pretty much right over the handlebars. I haven't done a lot of riding with it yet but I'm concerned that any bump I go over is going to cause the flashlight to move. We'll see.2. It just takes a few seconds to attach or detach the flashlight or the entire unit.3. IT DOESN'T SMELL LIKE GASOLINE. Read the reviews for some of the other inexpensive, Chinese made flashlight holders. People are saying, and I can confirm, that some of these have a strong, gasoline-like odor, which gets on your hands when you handle them. This is obviously due to the type of plastic these products are made from. I don't know, maybe the smell will eventually go away but aside from the smell itself I'm a little worried about the chemicals I'm exposing myself to.4. It's compact.5. The design is very simple. No screws or nuts or knobs or swivels. I'm sure that eventually I'll have to buy new velcro straps for this thing, but you can get 10 of those on Amazon for around eight bucks.Overall, great product.

Bought for a bike light, the flexible nature of the attachment makes it much better than the more firm screwed on holders. A good buy,

This flashlight holder is effective for what I would say is light to medium duty use. If you plan to go hardcore mountain biking, I don't think this will work for you (mainly because I doubt it will stay in place over excessive bumps). For leisurely nightly rides, or light trails, this will suit your needs fine, provided you don't load it down with an overly heavy flashlight. The rubberized block holds this product securely against your handlebars and the flashlight securely in place. My only concern is how long the Velcro will last, but for $7, I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of it before it wears out.I currently run a FourSevens Mini ML flashlight in this holder and it works great. It is a small, light flashlight so it holds securely. In pairing this product with a flashlight I already owned, I saved myself significant money from buying a designated bike flashlight. If you already have a decent flashlight and are using this for light to medium use, I think you'll be very satisfied with this product. The last warning I will give is be careful you are getting a genuine TwoFish product. I ordered two of these and the second time I received a fake that shipped from China. The rubber was not grippy and the Velcro ripped the first time I put it on. So be careful your item is a genuine TwoFish product and that it ships from the U.S. Overall, this TwoFish product has met my expectations and worked well for my intended purpose.
