I love English Breakfast Tea and Twinings is an old favorite. I no longer use tea bags so this loose leaf tea is ideal. It comes in a metal container to keep it fresh. Very nice!

What is NOT GOOD is the shoddy packaging the seller used for shipping. The cans were still sealed but really beat up and dented. A single paper bag is not appropriate for this.

Love this flavor of tea. We tried it once on a Carnival cruise ship as we wanted something different than coffee. Instantly fell in love with the flavor and decided to order a big pack. Will definitely order again once we get low. Although I wish it did provide how long to steep the tea on the container.

Pros: The tines are useful for storage of stuff. The tea is very good. The price is excellent; somewhere between 40%-50% of supermarket prices.Cons: Have not found any serious issues

I"ve purchased British loose leaf teas for 40+ years. Preparing for a church women's afternoon tea in three week I offered to donate the tea. I purchased a six-pack of 7.05 ounce tins of Twinings expecting a whole leaf tea. To my dismay, I found tea leaves that appear to have been ground, hopefully not degraded to the point of crumbling. I decided to brew a cup using an Extra Fine 18/8 Stainless steel tea infuser that sits over the rim of a cup. After spooning tea into the infuser I lifted it to see fine tea dust in the bottom of the cup. I poured heated water through the infuser, let the tea brew, then removed the infuser. The tea in the cup was not clear as it would be with a whole leaf tea. I drank a little and found that the tea had an off-putting slightly gritty mouth feel and it left a distinctive residue along the sides in my cup that I've never before experienced with any loose leaf tea. I then brewed a pot. When I strained the tea through my tea strainer into a cup, a noticeable amount of the tea "leaves" passed through the strainer into the cup. I would be mortified to add this "tea" to other women's teapots at a formal tea. I expected a whole leaf tea that I'd be proud to have served at this function. Instead I have six tins of a tea that I don't even want to drink myself.

The item arrived as promised, although it takes time. The tea is of great quality, then again, it is a personal taste; the Latin adagio "de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum" is still actual. Less "tasty" it's the price but, although one can have the chance to find it cheaper in certain grocery stores, it is rather rare, for what ever obscure reason, so this is the best next option to buy it.

I'm seeing that Amazon is grouping together the reviews for all Twinings teas, from Orange Pecoe to Earl Grey. This review pertains to the Earl Grey. Earl Grey: So perfect! Twinings has always done an excellent job with its Earl Grey, and this product is no exception. The black tea is strong and rich, and the bergamot is deep and flavorful. The fragrance is magnificent, and the taste is so beautiful that I find myself drinking large cups of this tea daily. I've heard bergamot compared to orange, but its nature is more lemon-like to me--and, somehow, I can't seem to get enough. In addition to the health properties of black tea, bergamot acts to decrease certain cholesterols in the body. The moral of the story: We need Earl Grey in our lives! Loose Leaf: Also exquisite. Twinings has this tea available in bags, but it is far stronger in loose-leaf form. The leaves are large and whole, and they never end up escaping my infuser accidentally. Then, too, the loose-leaf variety goes much, much farther than tea bags, making this an excellent value for comparable or greater strength. My one challenge with this tea is that it is not decaf, whereas Twinings Earl Grey is available in decaf bags. That isn't insurmountable so long as I drink it only throughout the morning hours. Tins: Nothing plasticine about them! I've always felt that plastic, cardboard, etc. are inauthentic. These tins really are rectangular metal structures with a small tea leaf embossed on the top. The foil covering beneath the lid keeps the tea fresh and preserves flavor nicely. Then, too, these tins are excellent storage places for other teas once the Earl Grey is gone. Pack of six: Translation: It's the tea that keeps on giving!--and, trust me, you'll want it that way. Buying in bulk like this is expensive up-front, but so important once you find a tea that you'd like to stick with. Final Recommendation: Make a cup, or two, or ten, of tea. Make many, many London fogs. Make Earl Grey macaroons--yes, they do exist! Whatever you do, you will be thoroughly pleased with this product.
