The antenna works as well or a bit better than another HD antenna we tried. We get a good amount of channels but some are stubborn and will only come in when you position the antenna in weird positions like flat on a table. Unfortunately I didn't see much difference when I switched to long-range mode but that could just be due to my location. When using this antenna in a more urban area, I get pretty consistent reception most of the times and get a bunch of channels clearly. Overall I recommend it but your mileage may vary.

This antenna is perfect for us! Our local stations are 45+ miles away but our area of Florida is flat so we weren't sure if it would work PLUS we have hurricane impact windows and didn't know if the signal would penetrate. We followed the easy instructions, the setup was less than 10 minutes. We are receiving 77 local channels with crystal clear reception and a beautiful picture. You would never know it wasn't satellite or cable provided. We chose this picture to post to show the vivid team uniform colors. Of course it's a picture of a TV and doesn't do it justice. The picture is beautiful. Wished we had known about this sooner. The negatives are: there's no option to buy a longer cord, 18' sounds like a lot but it really isn't when trying to get the antenna near a window if the tv is in the middle of a room, and secondly would be nice to run another tv off of it.

I spent a couple of hours scanning at different windows and in both short and long range modes as per instructions. With previous antennas, I've never received more than 13 channels. When I started my first scan, my TV was scanning in DTV mode instead of Air. I thought I did something wrong, but let it scan. When finished it said "50 Channels Added". I thought, no that can't be possible. It was. The picture was crystal clear, no lagging. It also loads some radio stations which sound fabulous coming through the soundbar.My range of channels available ranged from 35 to 50 channels depending on which direction the antenna was facing. What I found interesting is that when placed in the window that receives 35 channels, there are channels present that are missing from when it is placed in the 45 channel window. So each direction has its own channel pickup which may or may not be included even with a higher channel count.
