If blade get broken, you're out the door (OTD) and have to buy other brand with common cutting wheel blade. Dimension OD-30.08mm, th1.184th., fr.1 3/16, ID 4.89mm, TH 0.192, fr 3/16, TH 9.94mm, TH 0.391, fr 25/64. Bearing used 625Z. Nonstandard cutting blade size, bearing not interchangeable (625Z) with other wheels bearing. On replacement of cutting wheel, you might have to redrill wheel holder hole and replace shaft pin to common size. Handling is good and easy, cannot force or bend tool or you'll break cutting wheel. Advice buys another brand with spare wheel. One STAR due to no spare cutting wheel (tool come useless) and See statement above no cutting up to 1 3/8-35mm. Wrong information on web

It is a bit larger and bulky, which makes it hard to use when the copper is in the wall or ceiling, but for cutting new pipe its size makes it nicer in the hand. It cuts well and has not started to make spirals, even though I have already dropped it a lot. Adjustments are smooth. I like it a lot and I hope it continues to hold up.

Why can't some sellers, like this one, be honest and accurate in their descriptions?? I bought this tubing cutter to cut 1.375" OD brass tubing, which the description says will fit. Not true, as you can see in the photo. It lacks 1/8" of opening to 1-3/8" which means the max tube size that will fit is 1-1/4" OD. It is well built, but it's useless to me for this project.

This tool makes a very square cut in tubing, including in copper and PVC.On copper, it leaves a very slight bur on the inside of the pipe.On PVC, it leaves a bit of a mound on the outside as the blade gets pressed deeper into the pipe; this mound has to be removed in order for the pipe to slide into fittings.PEX is too soft for this tool to work. Scissor-like tools seem to work best. You do need a lot of room to use this tool; that is, you need about 4" or 5" of space on all sides of the pipe that is being cut.
