Got this for my husband who can fit what he needs for a week trip just fine. It’s a little too small for my needs, but I’m tempted to learn to travel with less bc this bag is so lightweight, rolls so smoothly, and fits so easily in the overhead. Last trip, hubby wheeled my older Travelpro and I wheeled this. A couple of reviews complaint that it rolls too well and out of control. While it’s true that it will keep rolling if you let go, it stops easily if you rotate the suitcase. Sturdy construction, nice color. Waterproof insert for cosmetics or wets. Definitely on the spendier end for us, but it should last many years as have all our other Travelpro suitcases.

After conducting research and testing numerous carry-on suitcases across all price points, I am very pleased I purchased this Travelpro. The interior design allows for easy packing. The wheels are excellent across a variety of surfaces. The lightweight feature makes this bag easy to load into an overhead bin. The exterior material is durable and looks good after traveling. I highly recommend this suitcase.

I travel farily regularly for work (2-3x per month). I have an Away carry on bag that has been great, but I purchased this bag to mix it up a bit and potentially have an option for longer trips. I've used the TravelPro bag on a few trips so far (8 legs) and it's peforrmed well. It holds a ton. With compression cubes, it holds the equivalent of 5-7 outfits without using the expanders. Shoes are always a challenge, but I fit 2 pair on each trip without issue. If you are creative with your personal item, you could easily use this bag for a 7-10 trip. The bag is easy to maneuver and farily lightweight. No issues using it in the airport or lifiting it to an overheadh bin. However, even unpacked, the depth of the bag is techincally 1" deeper than standard carryon size with most major airlines. My travel with this bag has been limted so far, but did include two different airlines, and neither made me check it based on the dimensions. On one of the legs it was a small plane. It was a VERY tight squeeze to get it inot the overhead bin, so I would recommend not using the outide pocktets if you're plannning to carry on. But, the bag is sturdy enough to check, so offers a lot of flexibiltity. In summary, the bag is great, but I'm also glad to have the Away carry on for shorter trips or any legs where I'm concerned about overhead bin space.

This suitcase is much bigger than what I expected. It is as long as my previous suitcase but is so much deeper. It is suited to a much bigger person. I think that the 25 inch suitcase would be better for me. I would return it or try to exchange it for the smaller size but living in Australia makes it near to impossible.

Only one negative - and it is more of an amusement and easily dealt with - so I'll get that out of the way first. The spinners on this luggage are so smooth (a positive not a negative) that if the bag is on anything other than level ground it might roll away from you, so keep your eye on it, or a hand on the handle. Otherwise ... there goes your luggage! I set it aside when unloading at the hotel to get another piece of luggage from the trunk of the car and when I turned around, it was rolling away from me! I had to run after it before it went in the street. Yes, that can be an issue, but easily solved. Keep an eye on your luggage which you should do anyway. Now for the good stuff! This carry on luggage is so easy to pack, so easy to handle and move with in the airport, and is incredibly well designed. One can imagine the thought that went into designing the compartments, and the features that we all want as travelers. I particularly like the storage area for a battery pack to charge my iPhone, laptop and AirPods. Never a need to look for an outlet and super convenient. The garment bag is also well thought out with a built in padded bar that helps you fold the bag for a perfect fit on the bottom of the luggage whichdoubles as a way to pad the bottom where the suitcase's handle bars are located. Durable, good looking and functional. There's a reason why this luggage was top-rated for value and function on NYTimes Wirecutter. You won't regret choosing this for your upcoming travel.

Excellent quality overall. Wheels and handle operate smoothly, stitching and zippers are sturdy, excellent materials overall. I might not buy another carry-on in my life.

AFTER TRIP UPDATE : The luggage appearance is like new after checking it 4 times. The wheels are still rolling smoothly despite enduring medieval cobblestone streets (I really thought they'd break, but no).I got the Platinum Elite 25 from Amazon Warehouse Deals at less than half the listed price! Except for a very slight scratch on the top leather handle, it was in pristine condition, and I was also able to register the product online without problem.Despite some reviews I read online, the front metal zipper was working fine. I still lubricated it with graphite powder and wax paper to prevent breakage and it glides very well now.The spinner wheels roll smoothly, the handle feels sturdy in hand, and the luggage is easy to maneuver. The expansion feature doesn't really add volume to the luggage, I think it only serves the purpose of being able to use the optional clothes hanger.I probably won't use the provided plastic toiletry bag but it's nice to have the option to unzip it off.

Travel in style with this bag. It looks and feels like a million bucks. Travels great, shows wear and tear really well. No regrets buying this. The only word of caution...okay two words... 1. If you expand this bag, put laptop in the outside sleeve zipper, it will not stand on it own, it will fall over. ..2. Secondly, if you expand this, you will get flagged by the airline for this not fitting in their carry-on frame. I had to check the bag in at the gate. But overall this is really well made and looks ammmmazing!

This suitcase seems to be a keeper. It rolls like a dream over floors, rugs and carpet without a hitch. I'll send another review once it's been used on a trip which is upcoming. Lots of cobblestones, rough terrain etc. so it will get a workout for sure but I like so far.

My back isn’t what it used to be and after a recent trip through Europe I decided it was time to replace my very sturdy Eagle Creek two-wheeled luggage with something four-wheeled. My Eagle Creek luggage was a significant investment for me and remains in near perfect shape after several years but this time around I was looking for something less utilitarian. I purchased the espresso color and it is a deep, rich brown but not quite as dark as espresso, which usually strikes me as almost black.I was delighted with this suitcase right out of the box. It’s light, even lighter than my Eagle Creek, which was a huge improvement over other luggage at the time. The large pocket on the front of the bag opens up folder style just as it should, since I typically rummage through it while I’m standing at the airport or hotel lobby. It spins and moves like a dream, if that isn’t obvious. The hardware is well integrated into the design; with the deep color and leather trim, this is a formal looking suitcase. The interior is both thoughtful and attractive. This is a bag I will check. I’m not short (5’6”) but I personally would not want work to shove this into a crowded overhead compartment in economy; nor would it have been allowed as a carry-on on my recent trip to London on New Zealand Air, it weighs too much. I’ve got a smaller 16-inch spinner for carry-on and short trips.I’m a light packer, this is the bag I will use for five- to seven-day trips, longer with laundry access.I won’t be using the charging port. I can see it being useful for international flights where you are not sure you will find an outlet to fit your charger. Frequent flyers using economy with tight connections might find it valuable; that is a situation where outlet access can be limited. The pocket is in a handy location on the top side panel of the bag so I’ll definitely find a use for it.The attached toiletries bag is really nice but I’m not sure how practical it is as you have to fully unzip the bag to get at it, which means it needs to be on the table or floor. Where will I do this? In a fast moving security line? As I approach the conveyor belt? I’d be more likely to keep mine in the front pocket until after security and then stow it in the bag when I have access to a table or bench. The interior doesn’t fit my existing packing cubes, which I believe to be standard. The 17-inch large won’t zip into the pocket on the top inside of the bag and the medium to small cubes don’t seem to fit well. I don’t normally use the large bag outside of lengthy trips so I can work around it. My garment folder fits perfectly and is what I use most for work trips. I’ll figure out organizing with the smaller bags as I go along. The small mesh pockets on the top of the tie down may seem a little oddly sized (small and thin) but I always travel with some odds and ends that can’t all be tossed into one bag/cube so they are going to be very useful to me.All in all, different than the layout I’m used to but it’s going to be a wonderful travel companion.
