It is the real deal, factory Toyota. Perfect fit and super easy to install as long as the old pre formed vacuum lines aren’t pulled off (hint there) everything matched right up, no more check engine light and she just passed a smog! (:

Very easy to install. Was concerned with rough finish on the bottom of canister, but when compared to the factory part to be replaced, it was exactly the same. Good part and good product. Less than dealership price.

Light turned on check it said it was the carbon box, ordered this one came in quick I uninstalled old and installed new, drove 60 miles and light went away. What more can you ask for. Item came in clean perfect condition, all parts included, you will need to use your old hoses. “Make sure they are still good” easy to install maybe 45 minutes if you have never done it before (like me) :) take pictures of before so you remember how hoses go.

This fit my 1998 Toyota Tacoma Pre Runner perfect. It was easy to install. My truck had been running rough and the engine light would come on and off. The code reader diagnostic tool said it was the canister. Auto Zone was more like could be... I have 350,000 miles, so I gave this a shot. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Immediately starting running like a new truck. Very pleased with the end result and quality of the product.

I got this charcoal canister for my 1998 toyota tacoma 4x4 v6 manual truck. It fit like a glove and passed smog inspection in california. Be careful connecting the vaccuum hoses so you dont break the nipples. Also clear the check engine light then drive for 70 miles city varying the rpms and load and speed on the engine so the computer “learns” all the monitors and you ready for smog!
