I dont have much "natural padding" around my ribs so I figured I'd give this shirt a try after weeks of bruised ribs on and off from jiu jitsu. After two sessions I can definitely say it's helping.

After a couple months of use the padding detached from the fabric and dropped to the bottom of the area on the vest. It became uncomfortable and unprotected. The red text photo shows one, now unprotected, side of my vest and the green photo is the opposite side of my vest; still intact.

I ordered this for my son that's about 5'3" and I'd say weighs 135 lbs. He's not huge. I got a medium and it's truly a great fit. There's still some wiggle room in it, but it's not too snug nor too big. I will be ordering a white one this next time to add to his black one. I did not order another one as the padding pieces fell apart inside of the pocket they were sewed into!

The padding breaks down after a few wears. Each hexagon falls out of its position, resulting in clumping and making the product useless. DO NOT BUY

I would say that most of the comments describing this shirt are accurate:- Padding is surprisingly efficient; you do not have to worry about contact in the rib area (unless you have a broken rib, in that case I don't recommend lol)- Shirt is well conceived to let your body breathe (even if the shirt is black). Played a + 30°C game with a thick shirt on top of that tank top, and I wasn't suffocating.- I STRONGLY recommend to hand-wash it. It dries very quickly and it gives you the best chances to keep the padding intact. Try washing it on a delicate-cycle, at your own risk.- Yes, it feels a bit tight but it's a COMPRESSION shirt. This is the best way for it to mold on your body and to protect the correct areas.In brief: recommended for mild injuries, but take good care of it if you want it to last!

I got it but returned it because it was too small for me. I really like the location of the padding especially the rib /liver location because that's why I got it. But I returned it because I brought a size too small. Also I'm glad I did don't think this would have help up to multiple washes the material feels very cheap and thin

This item fits tight and comes small. The problem I had is the item came with no washing directions. Do NOT machine wash this item!!! It will start to fall apart. Hand wash only in cold water!!!As for the fit, it runs a shy small, but that is expected with compression shirts.

I wish it could wick dry faster...or maybe it's just that I sweat too much! It does dry quick after I'm done and sitting or I hang it up, but during the exercise, it gets pretty wet.The tank top styling is perfect for the skateboard park. I wear it underneath my shirt. The padding has already been tested out (yes, that means I fell), and it works perfectly. I highly recommend this shirt for the warmer outside environs.I wear it once or twice and then cold water wash it in the washing machine and hang it to dry. No deterioration of the fabric or pads has occurred after the 5 times I've done this. So far, it hasn't retained any smell. I expect it to last quite a while.
