I love this chair! My back hurts less when I use it and even after a few hours it feels ok! I need to shift a bit, like any chair, but can always find a new comfy position. Highly recommended if you prefer sitting on the floor or cross legged!

I am very happy that I found this chair. The little butt platform is a great idea to make sitting cross legged even more comfortable!

When I first received this product it seemed great. The cushion on the seat and the base cushion flattened almost immediately. To the point that the cushion provides no support now. And even if I remove the seat cushion and add my own additional cushion, it feels like you are sitting on a metal stool. Not even an extra cushion can save this seat. The only positive is that its a very wide stool and you can sit cross cross on it, but it’s extremely uncomfortable. The seller told me if I didn’t like it, I could return at a minimal shipping cost. They did mention that once the base of the chair is attached to the swivel, it would be very difficult to separate. They were right, it was impossible. When I attempted to disassemble the top from the bottom, I couldn’t, which prevented me from shipping it back in a sufficient box. I would have had to buy a huge box to even attempt to return it. I thought if I bought the additional cushions (separate from this seller) it would have been sufficient, but I was wrong. I should have just done bought a big box and opted to send it back for a shipping charge. It is not worth $275. I do not recommend this product solely on the fact that the seat cushion is essentially not existent. I barely use/used it and it lost it’s cushion that fast. The only cool thing is the design, and even that isn’t the best. The ability to adjust the seat above the base is very minimal. Do not recommend.

I've been using this chair for a week now and it's an OK chair.First, I'll explain what attracted me to this rather unconventional option. I hate sitting in the "correct" ergonomic position with a 90 degree hip angle and a 90 degree knee angle. Part of it is probably that it's really hard for me to really get that setup- I'm really short and I'd have to get a very short height desk and a very adjustable chair to achieve it. I did once work somewhere where an ergo "expert" took measurements and adjusted my desk and chair to the right height for me, and I still didn't like it. I've mostly dealt with this by sitting cross legged in my regular office chair. In the office this can be pretty difficult because pretty much all office chairs have arms on them which make it more difficult to sit cross legged, so I'd sit in all kinds of weird ways. For my home office, I took the arms off of my office chair a long time ago and it's been OK for shorter stints of sitting.I've been doing a lot of research on alternative office chairs and this is one of three styles that stood out to me. Naturally, all three of them are super expensive (talking about the Soul Seat, for which this product is a knock-off), and none of them offer any real ability to try them out risk-free, and I simply don't have $600-1000 to spend on a chair without being able to try it out first. Then, I saw this option, which offered free return shipping.I like the overall design of this chair. I was having a lot of back pain from my ancient home office chair and I don't get that with this chair. It encourages "active sitting" and you can expect to shift position fairly frequently. I find that I switch between three positions primarily with a couple others thrown in on occasion. So, overall, a good buy.But there are a few pretty major drawbacks to this chair as well. First, the "perch" part of the seat is completely inadequate with regard to padding. Within an hour of sitting on it the cushion is completely crushed to nothing and it's like it's not even there. The wood (?) platform underneath would also benefit from a beveled edge (or padding that is wrapped over the edge). I did find that cushions made for those wooden "saddle stools", roughly 10x18 in size, work reasonably well on it.Another drawback is adjusting the height of the perch. The larger platform goes up and down with a lever just like an office chair, but I don't really find a need to adjust that one much. What I would like to adjust easily is the perch itself, but it is held in place with a very long (~2") screw that is right up against the platform, so you can't even loosen it by a full turn each time. It takes forever to take out, adjust, and then put back in. That's unfortunate, because the position I thought I would sit in most often (cross legged) is not as comfortable with the perch set for the other positions I tend to sit in. Maybe some yoga blocks under my ankles would work, but it's not something I've tried just yet. The expensive version of this chair has a quick pull-pin to adjust the height of the perch- a much more reasonable way to adjust it.The third feature that I wish this chair had isn't actually available on the expensive version, either, to my knowledge. I wish the perch had the ability to tilt a little bit. Sitting cross legged with my knees lower than my hips just begs for the perch to be at a slight tilt.I don't know how well this chair would work for the average person who has no issue sitting in a regular office chair- obviously, it doesn't have arms or a back, which I know would be a deal breaker for some people. For me, it's not a perfect solution but it's better than the traditional office chair I replaced. (My cat heartily disagrees- I almost never have a flat lap for him to curl up in anymore)I'll also note that even at its lowest setting I found that I needed my keyboard/mouse/monitors at a higher level than my standard height desk. If you don't have an adjustable desk or standing desk adapter, you may run into issues with those not being at the right height with this chair.

Edit - 9 months later. The padded stool cover makes all the difference. I still use the chair daily. I alternate between standing and sitting in the chair. This was a Christmas gift. I am constantly trying to sit with a leg up, or criss cross and this chair lets me sit in all the ways. I love it. So far I have sat a few hours each day and the seat could use a bit more cushioning but it's not bad for me at all (this may be because I too have natural "cushioning") . I ordered a memory foam stool cover to add. This chair is definitely a dupe for a more expensive chair many can not afford.Edit - One month later and I use this chair for work every day. The memory foam stool cover I added gave it that needed cushion. After 3 hours I do need to stand and stretch out before getting back on. My knees get sore after that long, even with my contant fidget/moving around. Zero complaints so far. So happy I can sit criss cross as I type away. I've seen a few reviews commenting on the chair height. It is taller than a general desk chair and benefits from a desk that you can adjust the height on. It also comes with a grey cover over the perch. This is just to protect it in shipping. Remove it when you assemble.

I’ve been wanting one of these chairs for a really long time. When I saw the price point on this model, I went ahead and purchased it. I feel like it would be an investment for my home office. I found that there was a little bit of damage when I was unpacking it, but nothing significant enough to warrant contacting the seller. Pictures are included. The construction seems pretty solid. I like how soft the base is but I think the little seat could have a bit more cushion. Since the picture was taken, I raised the seat so I would have more options for sitting. However, I had to take the wheels off in order to sit at my standard size desk with the seat portion higher. This doesn’t bother me because I don’t move the chair around, but I could see this being an issue in an office where the chair had to move. Overall I’m very satisfied with the purchase. I just wish the base went a little lower so I could adjust the seat height without forcing myself to sit too high.
