I bought this for one of my bikes where there is limited space on the handlebar, with aerobars and handlebar bag. It is well designed and was installed very quickly by just replacing the existing cap. I have not tried it on the road yet but looks like the grip on my wahoo bike computer is hard enough and should be able to withstand trail and road bumps. Will see!

I ordered this so that I could mount my wahoo onto the center of my mountain bike handlebards (it was offset before with the mounting hardware that it came with). This cap works great & gets the job done for cheap. Definitely would recommend buying it!

This mount really surprised me for the reasonable price. It actually appears to be metal, came with a replacement twist lock mount and wrenches. I’ve purchased K-Edge stuff which is great, but a lot more pricey. This mount is great also because you can adjust the angle on the actual face of your Element, many are fixed and don’t work with short stems or don’t allow you to angle for ideal viewing. AAA+ for this, as long as it holds up on my enduro bike. My guess is this would work with a Garmin also just by switching out the screwed in twist part, which is nice if you have both computers and switch back and forth without having to undo your stem cap

I haven't really used mine much but it's easy enough to install on the bike and looks sturdy enough. For what I intend to use it for, it'll work fine and it's out of the way.

This was a huge disappointment. I bought a Wahoo Bolt for my road bike. Love the Bolt but because I have a front mounted bag, have been unable to find a mount that would work. The front mount interferes with the bag and there is not enough room for the stem mount. This top cap mount looked like the perfect solution. Despite the fact that the product description says it is for road cycling, it is not. It is too big in diameter to fit the tube of my road bike. The product description on Amazon shows a hex bolt but that was not included. There are no instructions with this so not sure what the hex bolt would be for anyway. My guess is that you are supposed to remove the bolt that tightens the handle bars and than reattach that bolt through the part of this product that has the large hole and than re-tighten the bolt. However, since the product is made of extruded aluminum I don't see how that would work without shattering the product. At the very least, the description of this product should specify the diameter of the top tube that it is designed for and it should include installation instructions. Big waste of time and money and whats worse, I still have no mount for my Wahoo.

I purchase this stem mount because my bike's cables prevented me from using the aerodynamic mount for my Bolt and I didn't like the zip tie option for the other mount that came with the computer.Installation only took a few minutes, I had to loosen it and then re-tighten it to get the alignment *just right* lol. You install the base, then the mount piece gets screwed into it (2 screws, use the included hex wrench). The mount is very sturdy, no complaints at all.I only returned mine because I put Profile Design's AirStryke II aero bars on mine and I'm getting a mount to put the computer up front (stem mount is too far back for that).

The Wahoo Bolt head cap mount that came with the unit was terrible. The base of the mount was flexible, and there was no way to install it tight enough without deforming the base. This made it a pain to twist on Bolt and eventually the base ripped off the center hex bolt. The mount also would not give a solid snap to keep the Bolt centered, so it was always threatening to twist off the mount....had to keep twisting it back to the right. This replacement was a super quick install on my 2020 Orbea Occam. The base mount is a solid ABS type plastic that mounts strong on the head cap without any chance of deforming. The internal plastic 'unit mount' (what the Bolt twists onto) is also non-flexible plastic and gives a nice little 'snap' feeling that keeps the unit centered on the mount.I took it out for a test ride today and the whole kit seems very reliable and confidence-inspiring. As others have noted, its also a bonus that they include an extra 'internal unit mount'...I would think in the event you go OTB or otherwise crash and somehow you smash the Bolt and break off the tabs in the mount you have another one ready to go ;) A nice touch for a sub $10 item! If you are in the same spot I was - looking for an inexpensive Bolt mount that actually works - I say go for it.

Product installed fairly easily. Quality seemed fine. Several other reviewers noted the plastic inserts seemed cheap, but they didn't appear to be particularly low quality at first glance. One day, after about two weeks of use, while standing next to my upright bike, the bike began falling and I reached out to grab the handlebars. My hand accidentally ended up grabbing Wahoo element instead, and to my surprise, the wahoo ripped right out of the mount. Upon inspection the plastic insert broke in two places. I understand that you would rather have the insert break than have the Wahoo break, and therefore this might be designed to be the intended point of failure, but wow! this thing broke with almost no force. The unit does come with two inserts, so I was able to install the second insert once I got home. If you're going to order this product, it will hold the wahoo securely, but be careful about impacting the unit while attached. I wouldn't recommend for mountain bikes.Update: Thinvik did contact me and provided a full refund for this product, so I will revise this review to mention that their customer support was good and ability to get a refund was very good.

Initial review after install. Seems to be a solid build, and I liked that it came with two Wahoo-specific plastic inserts, which seem to be a wear item. It also came with a tiny hex key, which was a nice touch. This installed nicely*, and my Wahoo BOLT fit securely. This appears to be the same part as the Wileosix, which has only one Wahoo insert and no hex key.So far, so good. I'll update this review if anything changes from my initial impression.*The correct tightness of a headset top cap is something of an art, so you may want to watch a YouTube video on that.
