If you have to use these, something has gone awry.Indeed, a stuck, rounded-over bolt is no fun.So you really have to beat these on so that they seat good on the bolt. They are hard enough to create a gouge and grip the bolt head. There are limited usages of this, but so far so good. After one use on one bolt, there doesn't seem to be any damage to the extractor. I don't have a hardness gauge, but these seem to be pretty hard material.

This product solved my problem of several stick bolts in my car. This came with a generous size set of easy out like bits. They make the bolts easy to remove. They grip super well and function as intended. I would say this is a very valuable set anyone should have. I highly recommend!

I hate rounded bolts. I hate them with a passion. If you don't have the right means to getting them off, there are all sorts of mind numbing ways to attempt it.OR, you could just go get one of these sets, find the right size, tap it onto the offender, and remove with ease. These things are time savers, and if your time is valuable, get them.Compared to some other similar sets, these have a ton more sizes, and a nice case to hold them. 5/5

I used this daily. The 10mm and 3/8 come in handy on oil pan bolts for the X15 engines that like to have a bolt head strip regularly. I will sometime use these in place of my regular sockets on certain jobs to avoid dealing with the bolt heads stripping out.

Good set of bolt extractors with a nice spread of sizes that should accommodate most any size up to 3/4 inch (19mm). I tried out a few bolt sizes and they grip well. The case is nice and sizes are stamped into the plastic to keep things organized. Two adapters 1/4 and 3/8 drive are included and a handy punch out bar to get those bolts or nuts back out of the socket. The only negatives are that the sockets are marked on the side instead of stamped and those marking might wear off and I found several of the sockets that have mill bits of metal inside. Best to go through them all and blow them out before cramming and getting a socket stuck on an adapter.

Anyone who works on (almost) any mechanical system can tell you that one of the worst feelings is when one of your tool turns over and destroys the flats on a fastener. The sheer delight of getting one of them freed up simply cannot be overstated. There are many different ways of doing this like vice grips, penetrating oil, torches and welders, and more (oh my!) - and each of them has their place. However, now I get to add this little set to my arsenal. I can't tell you how many times it would have been great to have had this as an option! These basically function as the reverse of an easy-out bit. Using an impact gun and a bit of pressure, you crank away until the fastener decides it's had enough. I honestly have not had the pleasure/displeasure of needing these just yet, but the overwhelming majority of the other reviews that I have read have sung their praises, so I am getting on that bandwagon. Like just about any tool, having it *before* you need it is really crucial.I can say that the set showed up in pretty good shape and that I like there is case with markings. The only minor thing that I don't like is that the markings are stamped on the sides so they will wear off very quickly. However, for tools that I don't expect, hope, want, or dream about using very often (if ever) this shouldn't be a problem. In fact, if this set just rots away into my tool chest from neglect and lack of use, I will be a much, much happier person. However, if I do need them, I will be comforted knowing that I have them.
