I can get right into my small attic now, and was able to slip through to put boards up there for crawling where necessary for repairs and installations. Well-made ! All one needs to do is place a piece of insulation on top of it, so there is no heat loss etc.

After buying a couple plastic ones that I didnt like, this was well worth the extra money (relative to plastic ones that look and feel horrible and don't last). The powder coating is legit, and it is durable. It is well packaged too.

This panel worked perfectly as an access to my attic from inside the house. I have a huge section of my attic that is very difficult to access due to vaulted ceilings. So happy to have found this. It is solid and looks decent mounted in the ceiling of the master bath. Fit nicely between the rafters.

I have tried and returned 2 others that are the same dimensions, (plastic and aluminum metal). Plastic one was much cheaper and you get what you paid for. I tried a metal one that was cheaper than this one and it was the thinnest metal ever and weighed as much as the plastic one. This one is denser weighing 3x the first metal one I tried and is much better in quality. It also came with screws and extra components which I did not expect. I do wish however that the screws were actually in the baggie provided and better secured with tape rather than loosely thrown in there.
