The cap is exactly what came with the tank originally. Kind of expensive for a molded piece of plastic, and the shipping costs are way too high for what is being shipped. The cap arrived way faster than the anticipated arrival date, though. The cap does not come with the stretch band that is supposed to hold it on, but since the flimsy band was what caused the first one to be lost, that is actually a plus. This time we drilled a small hole through a raised part of the cap, and we threaded a piece of nylon fish line through it to tie it to the tank. We are now using a thick rubber band to hold the cap in place when screwed into the tank. Much better than the flimsy stretch cord, and replaceable. If the rubber band breaks, the cap will still be held on by the fish line, so it won't just fall off.

Necessary part for the tank, however the price is 1/4 the value of the entire tank! I need a new one as mine rolled into the septic dump station and I did not want to fish for it!.
