I bought this Bob Avila bit in Oct. of 2014.. Loved it when I got it and then last week while riding the bit broke in half at the roller..It could have been a big thing had I been running or racing on my horse..I am very disappointed in the bit..I will never buy a bit with a split roller in the middle Very upset and thankful no serious injury...

Love this mouthpiece for most of my older broke reining horses! Was looking for a shorter shank version as a transition bit from the O-ring snaffle on a young horse. It was a bit much for him but I have been using it to soften a more seasons horse so that worked out.

does not break in the middle like i thought but overall a decent bit.
