The Beadsmith’s Memory Wire is perfect for creating continuous, multi-strand jewelry that has flexibility while holding its coil shape. The plating on BeadSmith’s stainless steel memory wire provides a rich lustrous color worthy of showing off - you can create your own beautiful and unique jewelry using just a few leftover beads! You can stick with something simple, like a basic single string of beads on a single length of memory wire or use multiple strands of wire to create more complex designs.
EASY TO USE:
Memory wire allows you to make very quick jewelry projects. You can stick with something simple, like a single string of beads on one coil of memory wire or use multiple strands of wire to create more complex bangles. This is handy for both beginners and professional designers to make rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
STEP BY STEP:
Cut the memory wire to the desired length for your project. Thread your wire with seed beads, crystal, glass beads, or other jewels, leaving room on each end. You can finish each end with memory wire end caps glued on to the end of each side or create a loop to keep everything securely in place. Add charms or other embellishments to add a unique touch.
ACCESSORIES:
Because of the strength of the wire, you are going to need memory wire cutters or heavy-duty side cutters. Do not use regular cutters or scissors on this wire! If you plan on using the end cap closure, you’re going to need glue and memory wire end caps. Otherwise, you’ll need round nose pliers to finish your project with a loop.

Round beads that are drilled half through, to create a clean finish. Available in silver & gold in 2 sizes: 3mm & 5mm Finishing your memory wire with the end caps is easy. Cut wire to size. Place a dab of glue on end & put the end cap on. Let dry. Repeat steps for the other end cap.
Made in multiple sizes: necklace/choker, bracelet, bangle and rings. Choose from 4 elegant finishes: Gold Color, Silver Color, Copper Color & Black Oxide.
If you want to create a single length of beading on memory wire, cut a length that is longer than a single circle for overlap so the wire to stay in place when worn.
Before you start stringing your wire, you may want to use a bead board or a bead mat to lay out your design first. This really helps you avoid making mistakes and perfect your design before threading your wire.
Once you have cut the length you need, you should finish off one end of your memory wire to prevent beads from falling off. You can choose to use memory wire ends caps, which are half drilled round beads that can be glued in place.
You can also decide to loop the ends of your wire. Use round nose pliers or memory wire finishing pliers to create coils on both ends of your jewelry piece. Add a little charm to the ending for extra embellishment.

I've tried probably 5 different types of memory wire, I have have found this to be the best and most versatile for strength and sizing. I get the 2" diameter for ALL my different sizes, even for men's bracelets because it is the only one I've found that has a strong enough spring to it to hold heavy beads. The TRICK is to cut the coils so the overlap is enough to wrap around a large wrist, then , after beading it, bend the very center straight so it becomes an oval, then bend the ends to conform to the wrists. You can make small bracelets this way or large and they are very strong. Only bend at three points: the very center and at each end to create an oval. It takes a little force, but the wire will conform and hold its shape. I have included photos to show the first stages compared to the last. These are 6mm stone beads. I can even do it with 8mm but you have to begin with almost 2 circles to create a large bracelet with 8mm. But once you bend it into an oval the overlap isn't too much. I always cut more length than I need and then trim it. I've tried oval memory wire, but it isn't very strong and not suitable for heavy beads and it tends to be a little large for ladies wrists. And the larger circular ones don't create the comfortable custom formed oval that I can create with the 2". Plus many other brands are weak and don't have a powerful spring to secure it on one's wrist.Cons: The wire isn't consistent from order to order. I've bought these at least 3-4 times and sometimes it's thinner. It's always strong, just slightly different thicknesses. The plating is inconsistent and sometimes has burrs on it that snag the beads when you're assembling them. So I'd rather give it 3-1/2 stars, but I give it a 4 because I rely on this brand after trying so many other options. Also it is hard to make the terminal loops, but I do use the cylindrical coiling tool, not the cone shaped ones. The difficulty is worth it because the strength of the final bracelet is what matters to me.The memory wire lasts longer than elastic string. And they fit more of a variety of wrist sizes.And, oh, I was surprised to discover it IS only about 50 coils, not the 70 it claims. Another reviewer mentioned this, so I counted it when my new order arrived. I was going to write the company about it, but then I noticed it says,"1 Ounce ". I weighed it and it is indeed 1oz. of metal. They just over estimate how many coils one ounce makes. Maybe the inconsistent thicknesses accounts for the number of coils being off.

This is such good wire. It holds it's shape so well. Other brands stretch out but this Beadsmith doesn't. But it is not really for bigger wrists if you are making bracelets. I use it for other things other than wearing, so this small size is perfect for me.
