I love using the power pen cards and hot dots cards. Both of my sons love them and will happily pull them out and use them! The pen here really surprised me as IT WORKS ON BOTH POWER PEN AND HOT DOTS PRODUCTS!! Since we use both products. This was a wonderful surprise to find out! My older son challenged whether or not it could be used on hot dots. It worked to both our amazement. I am glad as I had just ordered a hot dots pen due to our old one being too worn out to work anymore. This had made me put up the hot dots books and cards because that pen isn't due to arrive til the fifteenth!I absolutely recommend this pen and the lite pen!!!

This product is incredible! If you’re considering it, let this be your sign to buy it. My 3rd grader who HATES school and HATES reading, absolutely loves this product and feels like she’s playing a game while learning. We love that the pen can be used for any of the boxes or books so it can grow with her! It’s super easy to use and she was able to start playing right away! We’ve recommended this to many friends!

This tool (WITH the cards purchased separately) helps to gamify learning. Just being able to read isn't motivation enough in this day and age of screens screens screens everywhere. The instant response on whether they got the right answer or not is just what our little guy needed to make the effort!

Ridiculous to add five dollars to educational items on Black Friday and Cyber Monday then drop them after the holiday. Not a deal and will make me look for other companies next time.

This was great the first 2 times we used it. We only did 2 pages each time. But the 3rd use the pen was malfunctioning. It was making the “incorrect” sound when we pushed the number and when my son was clicking the correct answer. I tried resetting it by removing the batteries and somehow now it’s even worse. It’s either saying every answer is incorrect or making no sound at all. Not worth the money.

Very short life span - one of the pens the light no longer works and another always gives the red/wrong answer every time.

I loved it but he liked to guess the wrong answer to laugh at the sound. Didn't work for us. Reverse learning. He guessed all but the correct answer and laughed.
