Take is in when the season is over. The sun will take a toll on the line which appears to be the first failure point. Always test the line strength at the start of the season. If it starts to powder on the outside, it is too weak for service... replace the line.

Description says 24 inches but I just received this ring today and it's actually 20 inches. Coast guard will not certify my boat without a 24 inch throw ring so ill be sending this back.

I don’t intend to use it as a life saving device. I bought it and stenciled my granddaughter’s name on it. We will hang it on our pontoon boat as decoration and our way of naming the boat after our granddaughter. We didn’t want to put any permanent lettering directly on our boat. This seemed like a nice and decorative solution.
