Standard mooring ball. Floats well with 30' 5/8 chain to the bottom

this is the best thing I've bot for my sailboat this year. So civilized to grab the line right at the top and you pull the mooring rope out and nothing else (like the mooring ball itself) . So much lighter and easy to grab, works well especially when you need it most like heavy wind and chop. Told myself "don't be such a cheapskate sailor ... BUY it!"

Good luck finding an inner part for this.

This buoy is listed as a T3C buoy, which requires the separate collar insert and Amazon sells these together an additional price (buoy + collar). When both were received, the collar did not fit into the buoy. I called the manufacturer to find out which collar product number was correct for my buoy and was told that a) the buoy I received is not a T3C buoy, it is simply a shackle buoy, and b) the shackle buoy does not require (nor uses) a separate collar. The product label needs to be corrected and it needs to be de-coupled with the additional collar as a bundled purchase.

This product does not include the vital components of the buoy shackle and rope harness. The seller knows full well they do not include these items yet advertise them as being included.Would give a rating of zero stars if possible. They are very non-responsive when asked to supply these items.

Our lake can get quite large waves, so I use a mooring buoy. The water levels also can fluctuate. This buoy is very easy to adjust and I really like that one piece of chain goes from the weight to my boat, so I have fewer fastenings to worry about giving out. The buoy also has enough flotation to support the15 feet of chain I need. A great product!

Do not be fooled by the photo they post with this product! It does not come with any of the hardware shown. It is literally just the shell of a buoy with none of the pieces you would tie your boat to or shackle your mooring chain to. To make matters worse, none of my local marine suppliers carry the Taylor parts you need! Do not be taken in as I was!

This is the one you want. I have gone through several over the years and have learned that you want the deep ring seat or cup thing. Keeps the ring from scratching your boat. This also showed up next day and not the week or two promised.

Good mooring ball. Make sure to buy the 2 1/2 inch mooring collar for the 18" buoy. The shackle above the collar, that attaches to the light chain which goes through the ball and that the pendants attach to, needs to be big enough not to slip through the mooring collar. Get the biggest shackle you can that fits your light chain. Good idea to also paint lower portion with anti fouling paint.

Love it, just what I needed. I did read the other reviews and as stated, plan to purchase a $10 shackle and the line you plan to secure the ball to the weight with. I used replacement winch cable from Harbor Freight. No need for a collar with the shackle being large enough not to be pulled down through the reinforced center hole.

Very nice mooring bouy, heavy duty and durable, but the Amazon description is misleading. The photo clearly shows a shackle at the top of the bouy, but the shackle is not included. Also not included is a required galvanized metal "collar" which cost approximately $29 dollars to purchase separately. (this collar could have easily been included by the manufacturer for less than $5.00 cost) Add another $15 or so for a shackle and you have an extra $45 of hidden cost included in the price of this bouy -- and that does not include the disappointment that I experienced when I found out I could not use the bouy when it arrived, but had to wait another week for the required collar to arrive. I will give Taylor Made Products a pass regarding deception.... their website specified that "hardware is not included", but I feel that they have "nickeled and dimed" purchasers of this bouy by not including the required hardware.
