The sticky tape on the back did not hold for even 1 hour and the mezzuzah dropped off the interior panel and apparently fell into a parking lot. I owned it for less than a day. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

FIRST, a bit of backstory. The Talmud and other texts tell us that a mezuzah affords protection. Indeed, the Mishnah reports that, for safety, some Jews carried a hollowed-out staff containing a mezuzah. That said, mezuzot are for dwellings, and generally speaking, people don't live in their cars. Ergo, cars don’t need mezuzot. Even so, some folks choose to place mezuzot in their cars. Is this problematic? No! Just place it in a "respectful place."Caveat: some believe it may be disrespectful to hang a mezuzah pendant from a rearview mirror. (Expounding on the verse “And your life will hang in suspense before you … ,” the Talmud asserts this refers to hanging tefillin on a peg, which is seen as disrespectful. Some folks claim the hanging mezuzah is similarly disrespectful.)SO, about this travel mezuzah: it's handsome; the adhesive works well, but it was a bit challenging to secure the prayer inside.

My son is now driving--he has had his driver's license for a year. To celebrate that landmark, I purchased this car Mezuzah for him, since he and my aunt are Jewish. It is a beautiful, high gloss metal with the Traveler's Prayer etched in black enamel. The letter Shin is embossed. Shin on the Mezuzah case is reflective of the name of God, Sha-Dai. It is an interesting design, given that the Traveler's Prayer is on a diagonal and becomes part of the design. A paper scroll is also included of the Traveler's Prayer in Hebrew and in English. It has a self-stick backing, so you can place the Mezuzah on your dashboard or inside your car door. This would make a wonderful Hanukkah gift for a friend or loved one. This Mezuzah was also made in Israel and is truly a beautiful work of art and Adonai's protection for your car.

The stock picture doesn’t do justice to this travel mezuzzah. It is really beautiful.I would have given 5 stars but this requires some extra thought and work to get it ready to install. There is one piece of adhesive tape included. Need to insert the prayer, protect it with parchment paper(?) and then attach the adhesive to the mezuzzah case before hanging in the car. I hope it works.

This isn’t a “certified” product but it works as far as I’m concerned. I placed it on my car dash board and it looks beautiful and I feel protected !
