I wanted a nicer way to enjoy serving tequila shots other than mixed graphics clear shot glasses from vacation places or others I've received as gifts over the years. These have a very nice artistic tone to them with great looking patterns. They add some interest to tequila shots with friends, but they are kind of big for this. They hold a bit more than 2 oz to the rim and with the larger size comes a little more weight. These to me seem more like tequila sipping cups. I broke them out for some shots and everyone was afraid that there was entirely too much tequila. I assured them that it was exactly a standard 1.5oz shot but they were all skeptical 🫤.The inside lip of the glass is a bit rough on a couple of my glasses, but not really noticeable when drinking. It just becomes evident when running your fingers inside the glass when washing them. Its not too rough that can cut, but for this price, I feel that there should have been a bit more care in quality control. I know these are hand made so no two will be alike, but it still bothers me.4 stars since these are handmade and my review can only be my subjective take on them.I hope this information has been helpful to someone 🙂

Got these as a gift for a friend. These are simply beautiful shot glasses. The talavera ceramic is glossy with traditional designs and they are well made. Comes in very secure packaging so they can get to your door safely. First tequila shots we took with these went down well! Highly recommend for a tequila enthusiast!

You get to a certain age and you just know its time to throw out that hodgepodge of cheap shot glasses you've collected over your many, many legal drinking years in order to make way for fewer but higher quality pieces. These ceramic shot glasses from MAZCASA are exactly what the doctor order. Well, not my actual doctor — he told me to stop drinking. If you've ever been to a bougie tequilaria or Mexican restaurant, you've no doubt seen glassware with this traditional Hispanic design language, and it's a bit exciting to be able to bring that home. And these have the quality and the heft you'd want for a set of glasses that will last. Nice thick walls, no sharp edges, the painting is all expertly done, and the glazing is consistent across the glass and across all the glasses. The whites are white and the blues are blue. The glass does indeed hold a full 2oz — in fact they hold a full 3oz with a tiny bit of room to spare for slosh-resistance. While the listing doesn't make it abundantly clear these hold a full 50% more than advertised, I appreciate the size increase as it makes the glass a better and more substantial feel in the hand — and it also means it will appeal to a variety of tequila serving styles. You can, of course, put in 1.5 to 2oz neat if you prefer. Or you can pour yourself a 3oz double. Or you can chill 2oz on ice and have plenty of room for the added volume. Or you can have that extra space to drop a lime wedge in.They're not cheap, but you do get what you pay for you, and you are getting a full set of 4 for that matter. These are built to last with care. They are dishwasher safe, but it is recommended to hand-wash to maintain the appearance for as long as possible. The packaging is decent with lots of little marketing flourishes, but one absolutely critical concern I have is that while they allude to Mexico as the origin of the style and the Mexican tradition, no where, and I mean no where does it say where these are actually made. It's not on the product listing. It's not on the box. It's not on the glasses. I even scanned the QR code on the packaging and scoured the website: nothing. And your level of caring may vary, but I think it's important to know where anything that touches food or drink comes from. I appreciate they are clear to say the paint is lead free (which is the only reason I will continue to use these), but it is safe to say these are not made in Mexico, otherwise they would have plastered this fact everywhere and not used deceptive marketing language to trick most people into assuming they are. These are great little traditional-style glasses and I'm happy to clear out my junk drawer for them. But I want to encourage all manufacturers of dish and drinkware to be honest and transparent about where their products come from.

These shot glasses are nice and very large. I wonder if they’re closer to a double shot? Either way they are quality and would make a great gift. They are attractive and the design and colors are true to the listing photos. They were packaged well with no issues or breaking during shipping. We’re satisfied!

These are great looking cups that matches with some of the best tequila out there with a very similar design. It’s a hefty size for a good shot of tequila with friends. Sturdy, beautiful, and durable.

This set of 4 Mexican style pottery shot glasses are a work of art. The shot glass itself can hold 2 oz, which is a standard shot. So cheers for the capacity. The hand painted design, each swipe of the brush has really encapsulated true Mexican heritage and culture. I am so eager to use and show off my new shot glasses! Very well made craftsmanship is top tier with this item!
