It didn’t just drop in. Like another reviewer I had to sand the back to get it flush with the table. Like a different reviewer who posted a video in his review, I had to pinch the open end together to get it in the opening. It fits nice and tight. It’s not a zero clearance but is wide enough that wood fibers won’t get hung up behind the blade. I’m very happy with it.

These are for my Powermatic PWBS 14-CS 14" band saw. The diameter is perfect. They are a little thicker than the original, and protrude slightly out of the table. I think it's intentional to let you sand them to the correct thickness. There's a thin ridge all along the bottom edge which is fairly easy to sand to thickness, using a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface. They appear to be stiffer plastic than the original, which provides more support when cutting thinner pieces close to the fence. I had problems with the original insert flexing dangerously. The gap is also slightly smaller than the original. So overall it's a good improvement on the original.

I guess since it’s plastic I shouldn’t expect perfection. Expect to do some sanding around the edge and a couple of layers of foil tape on the bottom to get the height right to your table so wood doesn’t catch.
