Professional truss clamps are required to be TUV certified for a lot of venues or insurance policies. These are not, but they're also rated at only 220 lbs. The TUV certified clamps I'm familiar with are rated at 1,100 lbs.Honestly, this seems to be a pretty solid clamp and I suspect that it'll hold more than 220 lbs. I'd give it 5/5 stars if it was half the price. But it currently costs about the same as a certified clamp so I don't really know that I could recommend this one instead.

As a professional Sound & Studio Engineer, Stage & Lighting Technician, Audio-Visual Production Specialist and Musician we're always dealing with heavy Trusses all the time! Trusses are what we use to suspend literally Thousands of Pounds of Speakers, Lighting Equipment, etc above our Stage set! This Truss Clamp is Excellent! It provides two Sides to accommodate two different size Trusses! In my picture I attached it to one of our Stage Trusses to show you how well it Clamps on! It has a firm grip and I feel 100% secure using this to suspend Lighting Equipment as well as light speakers from the Truss! It comes with a Hex Key and Tightening tool as well! However I'll be honest, when we're rigging up our Truss at Coachella the crew is required to use a Torque Wrench torqued at 30 ft/lbs for everything that we suspend! So the tightening tool is of little use to us but a great gesture by this company! This product is excellent and I'll easily give it a 5 Star Rating!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
