The sporin arrived and is fine but it didn't come with a belt/chain as described which is why I opted for this one over others.

It is completely plastic, and fake leather, but despite this, the pouch looks authentic and worked amazingly for the price it was. I used it for a renaissance fair and I got so many compliments on the pouch, people often were surprised to find out it is fake.If you are going for real materials know that it won't come at this price; but if you need something cheap and pleasing to the eye in a timely manner it is a good choice. This is a great addition to any costume or garb.

Quite impressive, for the price. I was looking for a simple, inexpensive sporran that I could wear during casual bagpiping events. I snagged this one based on price, but I'm really happy with the results. The sides of this sporran are made of a soft, flexible leather; also, the construction allows for a "bellows" effect around the full outer edge. The result is that this sporran actually carries stuff (gasp!) and the snap is still easy to close. Car keys, wallet, phone, ID badge... everything fits with plenty of room to spare. As a downside: the chain/leather buckle is pretty cheap. HOWEVER, this seems to be a standard across most of the sporrans I've seen. I'll be upgrading the strap, but won't let that deter my opinion of the sporran as a whole.

Ordered at the last minute to go with my kilt when my old one died.Looked good and held up well for a weekend of highland games. Stiff leather construction will probably last a year or two of semi-regular use.Pros-Looks great from a distanceGood product for the priceMeh-Uses a snap. Good for some, not for othersCons-Looks kinda cheap up close, mostly it's the thistle pin

This was purchased for a Renaissance Festival and started coming apart on the first time that it was used. It appeared to be glued together and not stitched. It is advertised as leather but it really smells and not like leather. I would not recommend and I will use again as I had to throw it away.

Pros:The sporran is well made, and is of solid construction. It is very handsome, and takes mink oil and other leather softeners well.Cons:The chain is well made, but the buffed metal coating is sub-par at best. The coating easily flakes off and can be quite messy. This can be remedied by scrubbing the chain down with a microfiber cloth, and coating it with a very light coat of a metal lubricant, such as Frog Lube, or Hope's No. 9.The fasteners for the chain are also fairly weak, and should be replaced as they easily bend and can damage your kilt.

It is a sporran, it performs its function and maintains a simple appearance as well as an affordable price-tag. I'd recommend this for costume use, or for practical wear, not necessarily for fancy occasions, although you may get by with it on that front as well.

I have never owned a sporran before, but for the price, I doubt this can be beat. It is great quality, and I love the thistle charm on the front. The chain was a little wonky, it had some extra links coming off the chain to make an odd "T" shape, but I removed them with a pair of pliers. No biggie in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend as a first-timers sporran.

This product is excellent. It's highly crafted and the price is absolutely worth it. It's n the cheaper end price wise for sporrans, but the quality of this item impressed me. We did not get the silver pin on the sporran, but it's beautiful none the less!
