Made a mistake in ordering the wrong height. Getting the old hydraulic lift is very difficult. I suggest that you lubricate the upper and lower sections of the lift with silicone grease in case it doesn't work for you.

The ease of installation into my existing chair was perfect. This could because of my chair but the sturdiness is a little wobbly once you lift it to its full height. Overall functionality is good, however when you first use it the lift mechanism is a little tough to get going. Other than that product works as expected. One side note: if you are replacing an existing cylinder, The removal of the original cylinder can be tough to do. Highly recommend a rubber mallet or hammer to knock out the existing cylinder from your chair.

I bought their base frame, and hydraulic lift and within one month of normal use, the frame of the legs bent, the hydraulic cylinder bent which caused my chairs seat plate to bend.I have tried to return, or have the item replaced but I am being told that they wont replace their product.

The item arrived and the packaging was adequate. I placed the replacement cylinder into my Global chair base and I immediately was concerned because the black metal housing slide less than an inch into the base and was not snug. I reassembled the chair but it was wobbly. I tried to raise the chair and the chair would only rise if I took all of my weight off of the chair base. I only weigh 150 ponds so that should not be an issue. I figured it may be due to not fitting snugly into the base. So I disassembled the chair again and removed the actual gas cylinder from the black metal housing and installed it into my original black metal housing. It seemed to fit fine and I reassembled the chair. It now fit snug so i gave my repaired chair a spin (so to speak). Unfortunately, the power of the gas cylinder still would not raise the chair seat height unless I got off the the chair and actuated the lift lever. Originally (for the last 20 years), to raise the chair, I would remove some of my weight from the chair, actuate the left lever, and the chair would raise to the desired height. That is not the case now at all. I will set the height once and deal with it, but what a disappointment! There are U.S. made cylinder replacement companies that cost a bit more, but they may work better so that may be my next move.
