this is a great little quick release, with a swivel. It is very easy to use, in multiple applications. Whatever you are use, this is a great option. It is really well-made, and very inexpensive. It works exactly like it is supposed to, every time. great product, great price, highly recommended.

this will be used for backup on a spinnaker sail. We needed one that was strong and has a good finish and this works for all.

Used for releasing a line under a load and where a swivel is needed to keep the line from twisting. It works as it should and as described. It should not be used as life safety, it is not rated that use.I would have liked to have seen something different on the release though. That key ring pull will not last long.

I got this for 'general boating use'. Which means I do not have a specific purpose, but I can think of numerous times in the past where I have needed a very secure connection on a swivel. The bonus where you can undo the lock even while under pressure is another feature which will at times be indispensable.Shackle is extremely heavy duty, with a smooth glossy finish. First quality all the way.
