Voice from customers

  • Worked great for my tarp on the beach. Half the pr1ce of the aluminum poles and no fear of them snapping under strong winds. The paint looked like good quality and will hold up for a long time. It didn't scratch off when inserting and removing pole sections.
  • I have been looking for some strong poles to set up my dining fly for camp. These will do perfectly and at such an amazing pr1ce. I will be buying a second set of these.
  • Like the way you can add or take a section away for height adjustments.

Not sturdy but helpful if light weighted usage. Not strong in heavy wind.

These are perfect for a general day in good weather to put up a tarp to block the sun with little to no wind. As soon as you add any extra elements, they buckle under the pressure. Pun intended. Not good for supporting a tarp in the rain nor in the wind. They flex quite a bit. Nice little budget pole for what it's worth though.

Paid about $18 for this set. I'm not sure why people are saying these are flimsy. At least 4 starts for durability IMO. 5 would be some kind of fancy titanium pole. I feel in the context of the price these are excellent value if you are looking to make a van/vehicle awning. They are definitely strong enough for that IF you use two guy lines on each pole to stake them down. If you are on asphalt you can use a sandbag or weight. It honestly was perfect for us because I didn't want to spend a ton of money. Easy to pop together. Easy to store. I used sucking cup things from the hardware store for the top of our Eurovan to attach a tarp to make an awning (actually it's an extra tent footprint, not a tarp). Must wipe the van metal free of dust before applying. Works great. Happy.

I recently purchased the Sutekus Steel Rod Tent Pole, and after using it extensively, I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, my overall recommendation is a strong "do not buy" for this particular product. Let me elaborate on the reasons behind this conclusion.Firstly, the lightweight nature of the poles is indeed a positive aspect. Carrying them around during camping trips or outdoor adventures is relatively easy, as they do not add significant weight to your gear. However, this advantage is overshadowed by other major drawbacks. One of the major issues with these tent poles is their lack of adjustability. They are designed to be used at full height only, which severely limits their versatility. Camping situations often call for adjustments in tent height due to varying ground conditions or personal preferences, and the absence of this feature makes the poles inconvenient to use in such scenarios.Furthermore, the assembly and disassembly process of these tent poles proved to be quite challenging. In fact, it was so difficult that it required the assistance of a bench vise to take them apart. This complexity adds unnecessary frustration and time consumption, making the overall experience of setting up and packing away your tent a hassle rather than a seamless process.Considering these factors, I cannot recommend the Sutekus Steel Rod Tent Pole to prospective buyers. While their lightweight nature may initially seem appealing, the lack of adjustability and the difficulty in assembly and disassembly outweigh any potential benefits. If you are in the market for tent poles, I would strongly advise exploring alternative options that offer greater convenience and user-friendliness.

For the price paid they are fine. A little flimsy, but if you rig a tarp correctly, should work for you. They are light weight, though!

I went on a camping trip this past weekend. The poles are sturdy, solid, and long. They did exactly what I wanted them to - suv camping with a tarp awning. The poles stayed solid because of the internal clamping system.I do have to say they were a bit heavier than expected. This is not a bad thing at all.Well worth the purchase! Great quality for the price.

Bought these to erect a canopy for shade at our campsite. Paired these with a sun shade sail and some 550 cord; they worked perfectly. My only issue was that the diameter of the poles were too small so they slide right through the eyelets on the shade, but that's on me, not the seller/manufacturer. I just mention it for the benefit of others, make sure the eyelets on whatever you're pairing these with are not too big. I put some washers on top of the poles and was able to use them that way. The eyelets on a regular blue tarp seem to be what these are designed for, anything bigger may not work without some improvisation.

These are the Bomb!! If you took everything you wanted a tent/tarp support pole to do, these replacement poles do exactly what you would hope they would. I was honestly impressed with the quality and build. First off, each pole has a tip-spring attached at the top of the pole that makes putting the poles together not only super easy, but it's also extremely sturdy to boot. Not kidding, this is 5 Stars all day long! No stretch cord running through the poles to rotten out over time, those clip-springs were amazing how they worked so efficiently in coming together. If you want/need tent/tarp poles, this is the one you want and need to get. Poles are 6.5ft.
