The pedal boat showed up early and in great shape, I purchased the boat as a Christmas present for my grandson. It arrived fully assembled and water ready. My Daughter and her husband tried it out and found the boat water tight and comfortable, it's also easy to maneuver and pedal. This boat is well built and fun to use!

We purchased 2 boats for use at our campground business. One major flaw with this product is how it is packaged for shipping. As many other reviews indicated, the boats where damaged when they arrived. The frames for both canopy's were bent and one of the boats had several scrapes and gouges on the edge trim. The freight driver tried to tell me we ordered used boats (Yeah - NO). We accepted them as is as it took several weeks to have them delivered to our remote campground location and they needed to get in the water and start paying for themselves. They've done a decent job of that. People like them and rent them often. The other issue with the boats is the weight limit. They are advertised as holding 4-5 people, but have a weight limit of 477 lbs (not something we saw before ordering). So 5 people would have to each be 90-95 lbs each to be under weight or under 120 lbs if there were 4 of them. When families want to rent them we have to be VERY careful and make sure the kids are pretty small in order to get them all on. The rear view seats are also made for very small people as well. If you are over 5' and you won't be getting back there without eating your knees. We knew the rear seats were small going in, but these are even smaller than we figured. We will continue to use these for the time being, but will likely look at higher quality units when we look to add more in the future as these likely won't last but 2-3 years as rentals.

I would like to give 5 stars, but taking off 1 star because it came with a hole in it. It was a warehouse deal so I thought there was something wrong. Anyways the hole was easy to patch, and for the money I saved it was well worth it. The boat is easy to pedal and steers pretty good. I don't know how 5 adults would fit. The 545lb limit is probably all you can expect from it. You have to keep as level as you can. I'm a big guy and so is my son. Together we r about 520lb and boat handled well but was front heavy. We had 2 adults and 2children in it, and it was pretty loaded about 570lb. It looked like it was popping a wheelie, not as efficient but still fun. It is perfect for fishing with 2 adults. You can make pretty good progress against a good wind, I was afraid of going out and the wind making it impossible to get back to shore. We had about 15mph wind in our face and still made pretty good progress. Top speed is probably 4or5mph. I don't think you could sink if you tried. After 3 days on the water we had about 2 gallons of water in hull. It was easily drained. It was a lot of fun, everybody enjoyed it. So light and easy to carry. Fits in the back of my Chevy Colorado. So I do recommend!

This is an excellent Pedal boat. Comfortable, easy to paddle/pedal. Heavy enough to be stable in the water. No complaints yet.

Don't know if it was a fluke, but we bought this for under $500. It has proved to be a very worthwhile purchase. Very fun and easy for almost anyone to use.Pros: No motor to maintain. Anyone can jump in and start using. Works well for fishing to get to tight spots or to stay in one spot. Fits two adults and 4 kids comfortably.Neutral: The canopy is nice only if the sun hits it just right.Cons: It is hard to move, outside of water, with one person. Does not track well in water (weight needs to be somewhat balanced so it doesn't pull to one side) - so it doesn't work great solo or you have to sit in the middle and straddle the steering console. Weight also needs to be in the front more so than the back to give the propeller grip on the water.Storage: We bought a cover (cheap nylon - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OZTPX4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_80) that feels like it will blow away that has worked okay. We had to prop up the inside with swim noodles to keep water for collecting on the cover. Sometimes we store it upside down, but that is harder to do with one person and feels like it puts more wear on the boat. So storing this is kind of cumbersome compared to a canoe.

Chose this pedal boat because of size, price and flexible seating. It arrived very close to estimated delivery date and in great shape. Just what we wanted. Grandkids love it.

I bought this paddle boat to fit me better than my old one , i'm a little over 6 ' 2 " and the old one really cramped up the legs . I was going to add rod holders and a sun shade ( bimini ) to my old one and be scrunched up but at the price this one was , it was a no brainer . My family loves the teal color , the rod holders , trolling motor bracket ( I had to add it to my other one ) the built in cooler , the fact that it fits anyone , you can sun bathe in it and that it has the foam core - when I used to get in the old one it sunk down on my end and of course was hard to make right turns because of this , the new one still floats out of the water quite a bit and is easier to steer with only one aboard BUT the best part is it takes much , much less energy to paddle it , and it weighs more , is bigger than the old one but is faster and works like butter . All in all this is one of my favorite boats I've ever owned ( and i've owned over 50 easy ) and the best money you can spend on the water . Buy it and relax and catch some rays or fish
