It is designed to be compacted into a small cube that can be packed into a larger storage – to later deploy as a daypack. Sometimes, I just want a light bag for some storage for a light windbreaker or rain jacket, towel, and snacks. Too much to fit in cargo pockets, not enough to want to bring a full bag. This is perfect for that. My favorite feature is the inflatable back padding which helps give the bag some structure and wearing comfort. The price is reasonable but with the half off sale, it’s a STEAL.If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.

Needed a lightweight backpack for a short European trip. It would have to be the only bag I bring and would be budget airline compliant. I tried several. some lighter, some heavier. This was the Goldilocks. At 17 oz, it was perfect. Also I tried w/ and w/o the inflatable. And it is much better with the inflatable. Well worth the extra 1.4 oz for the inflatable.I did several practice hikes and it feels comfortable. Of course I cannot comment on the quality/durability yet. But like it enough to buy a second one for family member.I dont know what some people expect from a packable backpack. Of course it will be a bit thin/light. Thats the point.Maybe it will or will not last years, but for the price and what I have experience, it is a steal.

Great backpack for hiking holds everything I need! Zippers work well and a great value for the money I paid. Very comfortable to wear as well!

I have 3 Osprey backpacks which I use all the time. I never considered a folding pack simply because they all lack padding on the back and you can feel every object you put in them. This is the first time I have seen someone make an effort to address this. Sure you cannot load an elephant in there and think you will not feel anything. This pack is well built. Has a lot of features. No doubt this is one of the best in the folding class. While it may not replace my Ospreys it will be with me on many trips where weight is an issue and I am not sure if i will need a backpack at all. This takes no space or weight, but if you needed it will be there to carry a jacket, water, maybe a snack. Well done!

I like that this is light. I can’t get my fatter water bottles into the side pockets. I’ll have to use thinner ones. I wish the top zipped. When I zip it all up it seems to have a flap too using the square pocket it unfolds from as the flap. I actually wouldn’t have gotten it if I knew that. I do like the color though

Worked great for excursion. Able to fit water shoes, towels, sunscreen, water and more. When finished with it just fold it up and store it in the attached storage bag.
