This is an absolutely fantastic microphone amplification transmitter for saxophones. I love that this device has settings for the precise horn that you are playing, e.g. alto, tenor, baritone. The mount that attaches to the bell is beautifully designed and is much better than other microphones in that it is nicely cushioned, and will keep you from damaging or scratching your horn. Both the microphone transmitter, and the receiving unit charge quickly and have an exceptional battery life. I was very pleased with the absence of any latency in the signal and the clean precise sound it provides. If you are looking to amplify and transmit your saxophone, I don’t think you can do any better than this unit, especially at this price point, which makes it a stupendous value

The connection here is strong and stable - so you don't have to worry about issues with lag or dropped connections. The clip is adequate and you don't need to worry about the mic falling off while moving. At the price this was listed for when I ordered it, I think this is a good value.

First and foremost, the sound quality on the mic is pretty good, capturing a fair range of sound with little distortion or dropping. Now add a few internal EQ settings and versatility is effectively expounded upon. The Rx/Tx seem to have a pretty transmission distance before degrading signal and battery life does really good. I have tried a few of these Strich products and they keep impressing me with their consistency of quality. Clip grips and springs hold tension well, so there is no cross noise from a shifting transmitter, and they make it very versatile to interchange between various brass instruments. I would probably not use this for a tuba though, as the mic would doubtedly have the bottom range, but for most other brass, it should be just fine. I also want to see how it holds against certain woods and reed instruments, which I believe the clip would allow attachment. Regardless, for what it is designed (brass/Sax), it works great, but also is versatile enough for additional uses.

I'm impressed with the sound and simplicity of this sax mic. You can charge both the Transmitter and Receiver at the same time with the provided USB-C cable then connect the Receiver into an amp or mixer or output through either the cable or Bluetooth to a phone or device. The sound is clear and there's almost no key noise. I like that you can add some reverb with a dial on the X-mitter. With another button you can select a scene setting for alto (default), tenor and soprano, though I couldn't detect any difference in the modes with a casual test. The instruction booklet has tiny print and the wording sounds like a translation so it's less than clear, but the illustrations help and the device is fairly simple with just a couple of controls and ports. Overall I think it's a good value and worth 5 stars.

This "Strich" wireless sax microphone comes with the transmitter that you clip on to your sax bell, and the receiver, which you attach to the p.a. mixer via its XLR jack (you'd need to use a separately-acquired XLR-to-1/4" adapter to plug into a guitar/keyboard amp). Each unit is charged via a USB-C port, and holds a charge through any gig. It's good to be in the habit of charging them fully before any gig. Nothing more awkward than running out of battery mid-solo!What sets this unit apart from others I've seen are two things.1) pre-set eq options: through a toggle button, the light on the transmitter changes, and the internal eq settings change to, in theory, bringing out the ideal characteristics of soprano, alto, or tenor sax. I suppose if you play a bari you don't want this mic? I personally think that if they insist on these options, there should be two more: one for bari, and one for "neutral", which allows the mixing engineer or whoever's running the p.a. to adjust eq however they see fit. It's a cute feature but not fully realized.2) a dial for reverb: there's a small dial on the side of the transmitter that allows the player to set the amount of reverb they want to add to their sound. Again, this is usually best done on the mixing board, but in this case the player can turn their dial all the way off. So I see this as a great feature, especially if you're playing in a rock or r&b setting, which perhaps in a song you're playing a backing horn figure where no reverb is best, then at one point you get a solo where some reverb sauce would be nice... and you don't want to rely on someone at the mixing board to turn your reverb up and down during a song. The clamp mechanism that attaches to your bell is a little worrisome. You can pull it up to situation and release it to clamp down... but I always worry about moving parts as they are often the first to break. I'll just say that if you treat the clamp gently and don't get rough with attaching and un-attaching it/from to your bell, you'll probably get years of use out of it.Side note: I stuck some velcro to the bottom of it and tried it out as a mic on an accordion, and it worked pretty good! If I got anywhere near the amp where the receiver was, feedback was a danger, as the gooseneck wasn't pointing down inside a bell like it's designed to... but it's worth mentioning, as with some ingenuity and a place to clamp the clip, you can use this on other instruments, even though it's best for the sax. Not you bari saxists, though. Back to the corner with you!
