A good, solid product. I was worried it might be warped, but it is straight. Well packaged against damage. It has some weight to it. Feels more like the staff from a Robin Hood movie than the ones you see martial artists whipping around at high speed. Might not be your best choice as an introductory training staff because of the weight. If you actually have an instructor, see what they recommend.

Good quality smooth wood, straight not tapered. It is heavy and will build strength. Made to last along time.
