Negative first. Several of our hangers had chipped ends on the (pants) bars and the bars were not stapled securely. Also, the shape of the ends of the arms were not consistent and had uneven levels of finish.Other than mentioned above, the face and tops of the hangers have a smooth finish. The non-slip notches at the end of the arms is a nice touch. The metal wire hanger hooks are good quality. They swivel and have an evenly formed (turned) knobby end.

I grabbed pictures of the hangers with an adult plastic hanger and one of our toddler cardboard hangers for comparison. And there is our "before" picture using the cardboard hangers for coats, and "after" picture using these wooden hangers. These wooden hangers are fantastic. I think they will last forever. The big thing is I find them very well sanded. A lot of these adult hangers we had to return because we worried they would damage fabric since they weren't smooth up top. These ones are smooth in my opinion. The metal hook can rotate around but not very easily.

Plastic hangers are not strong enough for kids winter coats but these wooden hangers are! They are nice and sturdy! They will hold up well and honestly look nicer than the plastic ones. They have a good grip so the jackets don’t fall off. They are thick, but not too bulky.
