The Stens 290-023 Throttle Control Cable looked like it would be a perfect match for my Troy Bilt Horse, but turns out it was a little short. Classic case of “so close, yet so far.” Instead of throwing in the towel, I rolled up my sleeves and got creative—relocating the mount to make it fit. It wasn’t exactly plug-and-play, but hey, it works like a charm now!The cable itself feels sturdy and well-built, which is why I didn’t want to give up on it. Once I adjusted the mounting point, it operated smoothly and gave me precise throttle control. It’s like fitting into a pair of jeans that are a size too small—awkward at first, but with a little adjustment, you’re back in business.If you’re handy and don’t mind a little customization, this cable is solid. Just be ready to improvise if your setup is like mine. For the price and quality, it’s worth the effort, and now my Troy Bilt Horse feels like it’s galloping again!

Replaced a forty year old throttle cable on a garden tiller with this one. Little long but works okay. Could use some lubricant, cable seems a little tight in the sheath.
