Using Your New System - 3X Lock, Long Range Remote

Once I removed all of the coverings and ran the wiring harness the rest of the install was completed in 30 min. If you have a little bit of vehicle knowledge you can easily handle this. The programming is also super easy. I highly recommend you watch the YouTube video before starting. The YT video along with the instructions in the package itself will be more than enough to safely guide you through the process. Works exactly as described in the ad and remember, the car is SUPPOSED to shut off when the door is opened. It’s a Toyota thing that can’t be avoided but it really doesn’t bother me one bit. I am so happy with the outcome.I bought this to pair up with carlink, and the system works seamlessly and perfectly.It's so nice to get into an air conditioned car in the hot summer days. No more rolling down all your car windows as you get into your car.In terms of installing this product is so simple, two terminals that need to be swap are in a little bit hard to reach area otherwise everything is very easy and straight forward.I installed the carlink at the same time.Everything worked fine so I didn't have to call the tech support. But I am sure there are good.This product is a well thought out, well made product.I recommend to add the carlink to take a full advantage of this product.

This is a great unit. Amazon claims it does not work for my 2019 Corlla Hatchback SE. But it does work. Installation was pretty straight forward and the instructions were easy to follow. The entire install took me about 30 minutes. The harness is well made and the connectors line up perfectly. Highly recommended.

As a DIY project, you can get through it in 30 mins without risk of damaging things. If you fail to follow instructions for programming and connecting you will have to redo the programming after reset procedure. Works well so far

This is such a great product. I completed the install in 10 min using the items provided, a Philips screwdriver, and a pair of flush cutters for the zip ties. Programming is a snap too! My car (2022 Corolla hatchback) shuts off and does not allow a seamless handoff to normal operation but this is an issue with Toyota's before 2023.I can't recommend this product more!

If you have a little mechanical or electrical knowledge it’s plug and play. I used the instructions to pair the box itself but I found the plugs myself. Now it does turn off when you open the door. ITS SUPPOSED TO!!! Toyotas that come from a dealer do this already it’s a safety feature it is aggravating but I don’t mind. I bought this to get to operating temp without going outside to start it. All in all I would recommend it. Even if you aren’t very knowledgeable with cars the instructions tell you exactly what to do and how to do it. Hope this helps!

Work perfectly for my 2020 Corolla XSE with push to start smart key and CVT transmission. Once installed, you must press the button 3 times in like 0.5seconds of each other, not too fast, and not too slow or otherwise it wont work. You have to press the button slow enough that the lights flash orange on the car each time you press it. Press it 3 times again to turn off. The remote start keeps the engine running for 15 minutes only, and will turn off the engine if you open the door. THAT IS NORMAL. I have had several other Toyotas with factory remote start and it works exactly the same. That is how Toyota hardwires their vehicles, and not the fault of the Start-X remote start company.Make you sure you have a flashlight, a phillips (cross) head screwdriver, scissors, and the included orange plastic pry trim tool.1. Make sure your car is turned off completely and doors unlocked.2. Pry off driver side of dash with trim tool. (See video on their website t13)3. Pry down bottom half of dash with the buttons (auto headlights, dash dimmer panel). It won't come off, just push towards you, and down.4. Remove screw from #1 from underneath the steering wheel.5. Turn on car, and move steering wheel to the left to show the bolt #2 on the side of the steering wheel housing. Turn off car and remove screw.6. Again turn on car and rotate steering wheel again to show bolt #3 on the otherside. Turn off car. And remove screw.7. Use plastic pry trim tool to remove bottom half of steering wheel plastic housing.8. Use the video for reference, remove black connector from steering wheel, and connect to supplied T-connector wiring.9. Tuck cables into dash.10. Watch video for reference. Connect two large connectors on the BCM to the wiring harness.11. Hold down programming button on remote start module, and plug in small black connector to the black port on the remote start module. When the light on the module turns blue let go of programming button.12. Connect the bigger white connector, small red connector, and white smaller connector to the module.13. Everything should be connected now.14. Programing time: press car start button 2 times slowly. WITHOUT FOOT ON BRAKES. This will turn on vehicle without engine.15. When blue light on module starts flashing, you can press the start/stop button on the car again to turn it off completely.16. Done!17. Before putting back together I recommend closing all doors. Locking, unlocking completely, and then time to test the system. Press the key fob lock button 3 times (not too fast). It should turn on!18. I recommend wrapping the remote module in bubble wrap, or something soft like a microfiber towel, or foam to insulate from vibrations. And tuck away wires inside dash, and put all plastic parts back together!19. Now you're really done! Enjoy!

Took about 1 hour from time I decided to install to the car being back outside on the cold.One thing don’t hold the button waiting for a blue light. You need to let it go when the light is blue.
