It features a highly polished compass rose on its hinged lid, which opens to reveal a 5/8 inch (16 mm) diameter working compass. This fine compass locket weighs 0.26 ounces (7.5 grams), measures approximately 3/4 inch (18.54 mm) in diameter and approximately 3/8 inch (9.39 mm) thick. It is stamped "925" to designate the quality sterling silver content (92.5% pure silver). This locket comes in a high quality hinged gift box. Bought this for myself as a Birthday prezzie, to remind myself to follow my own direction. I love it.I've worn it almost every day for two months and it has kept most of its shine (although it could use a bit of a polish now).Love the length of the chain and where it rests on me.Would have been nice to have been able to get it engraved, but it's not a game changer.

Got this for my mother's day gift, its perfect. The chain is a bit dainty so i changed it to a thicker chain. The charm itself is amazing, working glass enclosed compass. Well made and can be personalized. Mine reads "Get your ass home now". I love it

My 23 yo daughter loves it. Had it inscribed too. It’s not too big but has weight to it. The compass looks to be the real McCoy not the junk you’d see in an auto parts store or something. It takes a bit to get it open but I think that’s by design

The locket is pretty on the outside. However I have no clue what the inside looks like because it will not open. Quite a disappointment… I’ve read another similar review and the option was to send back to have fixed. Personally if it was company’s mistake they should just resend another locket with a return label to send the one that won’t open back, not the other way around. It should be made easier for the buyer not the seller.

I originally purchased this necklace in 2015 and wore it nearly every day for five years. It went everywhere with me! The gym, the ocean, hiking trails, ect. I’m not a coordinated or graceful creature and it took countless falls and tumbles. Very durable! This necklace never lost its clasp strength or shine and was always true north.Sadly I lost it while moving homes and had to repurchase. When I received my second necklace I had some issues with the compass needle and contacted customer support. Their service was PHENOMENAL! They responded to me within minutes and shipped me out a new necklace that very day. Engraving and all! My package arrived two days later and everything looks and functions perfectly!A great gift for that adventurous loved one!I will be buying another for my youngest sister who is graduating high school and will now be starting her own journey into adulthood!
